49ers' Nick Bosa: Progresses in recovery
Bosa's (knee) tendinitis symptoms have been subsiding recently, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Bosa continues to work toward a return to the field. The 49ers' defense is in desperate need of the star pass rusher's services after preseason game and joint practice failures on the defensive line. The 28-year-old is still considered week-to-week, with coach Kyle Shanahan saying Tuesday that the star is doing well. Bosa has a floor of 9.0 sacks when healthy, so the team will likely do whatever it takes to ensure he's on the field for the regular season.

49ers' Nick Bosa: Considered week-to-week
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Tuesday that Bosa has missed recent practices due to soreness/tendinitis in his right knee, and the pass rusher is considered week-to-week, Noah Furtado of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Bosa avoided the active/PUP list at the start of training camp, but his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered in Week 3 of last season is ongoing. He's made three or fewer appearances in two of his pro campaigns but played between 14 and 17 regular-season contests in the other five, racking up at least 9.0 sacks in each of them while topping out at 18.5 in 2022.

49ers' Nick Bosa: Still dealing with soreness
Bosa (knee) did not participate during the 49ers' training camp practice Monday, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Bosa has now missed four straight training camp practices due to soreness. San Francisco will likely take a cautious approach in bringing the five-time Pro Bowler back up to full speed, given the team's financial investment in him and the fact that it already has a number of injuries to other players in the front seven.

49ers' Nick Bosa: Progressing in ACL recovery
Bosa (ACL) is doing individual work on the side at the 49ers' training camp, Nick Wagoner of ESPN reports.
Bosa apparently still isn't ready for team drills, but he continues to trend in a positive direction as training camp rolls on, drawing praise from teammate Trent Williams, per Wagoner. When healthy, he figures to be the key to a San Francisco plan to fix a pass rush that was among the worst in the league in 2025.

49ers' Nick Bosa: Starts training camp off PUP
Bosa (knee) wasn't placed on the PUP list ahead of the start of San Francisco's training camp, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Bosa is seemingly progressing well from the torn ACL he suffered last September. While the 28-year-old still isn't fully healthy, he's starting to ramp up his work and should be ready for the start of the regular season.

49ers' Nick Bosa: Says he'll be ready for the season
Bosa (knee) told reporters Thursday that he expects to be ready for training camp and the regular season, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The five-time Pro Bowler is recovering from the torn ACL that he suffered during Week 3 of last season. Bosa underwent successful surgery last September after the injury and has offered nothing but positive updates since then.
