Top Terry Beckner News

  • Terry Beckner: Let go by Tampa Bay

Beckner (suspension) was released from the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Beckner just completed a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on PEDs and is now a free agent. The rookie seventh-round pick will hope to latch on elsewhere now that he's clear to play.

  • Terry Beckner: Handed suspension

Beckner was suspended four games Monday for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Beckner was a seventh-round selection in April's draft by the Buccaneers and currently resides on their practice squad. There were no further specifics surrounding the suspension, and it will certainly hurt his chances to earn a 53-man roster spot around the league this season.

  • Buccaneers' Terry Beckner: Heading to Tampa Bay

The Buccaneers selected Beckner in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 215th overall.

This is the perfect dart throw at this stage in the draft. Beckner is as toolsy as almost any defensive lineman in this class. He was a five-star recruit out of high school who never reached the lofty expectations due in part to a 2016 torn ACL. Beckner still managed 11.0 tackles for loss in each of his last two seasons for Missouri and was more than worth a look in the draft's end game.
