Smith (undisclosed) was released from the Saints' injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement, Joel A. Erickson of The Baton Rouge Advocate reports.
Smith will now be free to sign with other teams. He'll be looking for a special teams role, considering he had just 18 catches in his last 15 college football games.

The Saints waived/injured Smith on Wednesday, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Smith signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2018 NFL Draft but ultimately did not stick with the team. Smith will hope to sign elsewhere in the NFL, where he might compete to earn a special teams role.
