Top Arseny Gritsyuk News

  • Devils' Arseny Gritsyuk: Nets first even-strength tally

Gritsyuk scored a goal on five shots on target, delivered three hits and had a plus-1 rating during his 16:09 of ice time in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Avalanche.

Two games after netting his first NHL goal on the power play, Gritsyuk is officially on the board at even strength. Both goals have given the rookie a chance to display his NHL shot; Sunday's was a snipe from the left circle. With his six points in nine games to begin the season, the 24-year-old is playing his way into early Calder Trophy discussions.

  • Devils' Arseni Gritsyuk: Scores power-play goal

Gritsyuk scored a power-play goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Wild.

Gritsyuk gave the Devils a 3-0 lead at the 4:53 mark of the third period with a snap shot on the power play. The 24-year-old winger has appeared in every game for the Devils so far and is making his presence felt -- he has five points (one goal, four helpers) over his last six appearances while averaging 13:14 of ice time over that stretch.

  • Devils' Arseni Gritsyuk: First NHL points

Gritsyuk had two assists Saturday in a 5-3 win over the Lightning.

His two-assist effort marked his first NHL points. "He plays with a lot of speed, and I think I play with a lot of speed," said Connor Brown, who skated with Gritsyuk in the bottom six. Gritsyuk showcased his offensive instincts in the KHL last season, and he's off to a solid start in the NHL. Still, his fantasy value may hinge on his ability to climb the lines into the top six.

  • Devils' Arseni Gritsyuk: Quiet in debut

Gritsyuk made his NHL debut in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Carolina.

Gritsyuk had a minus-2 rating and one hit in 9:52 of ice time. The 24-year-old is playing on a one-year, entry-level contract after recording 17 goals and 44 points in 49 regular-season outings with KHL St. Petersburg in 2024-25. Although he has shown offensive promise in the KHL, Gritsyuk would need to get bumped up from his current bottom-six role in order to have a chance at being a significant scorer in the NHL.
