Rangers' Adam Fox: Two-point effort Sunday
Fox produced a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Panthers.
All the game's scoring came in the third period. Fox sparked the Rangers' offense by setting up Adam Sykora for the opening tally before the star blueliner flipped home an empty-netter that traveled the entire length of the ice. Fox recorded two power-play assists and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Fox has a goal and 10 assists over 13 outings in March after missing nearly all of December and January due to injuries. The 28-year-old defenseman will miss the 60-point mark for the first time since 2020-21, but he's maintained his usual high-end scoring pace with 39 points, 73 shots on net and 63 blocked shots over 45 appearances this season. Fox extended his scoring streak to five games, giving him nine helpers over that span. Four of those assists have been recorded with the man advantage, including two of his three helpers Friday. Fox recorded at least 29 power-play points in three straight regular seasons from 2021-22 through 2023-24, but that dropped to 18 last year. He might rebound at least partially from that dip in 2025-26 -- Fox now has 25 points (three goals) in 26 outings this year, including eight power-play points.

Fox tallied two secondary helpers with the latter coming on Adam Edstrom's go-ahead goal. With the apples, Fox is up to 18 assists, 21 points, 49 shots on goal and 40 blocks through 24 games this season. After taking a small step back last season, the 27-year-old defenseman is tied for third in points among blueliners in 2025-26. He is an integral part of the team's offense both at even strength and with the man advantage. His recent run of 17 blocks in his last nine games also makes him one of the most well-rounded defensemen in all of fantasy so far this season.
