Blue Jackets' Luke Tuch: Agrees to two-year deal
Tuch signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
Tuch had nine goals, 14 points and 82 PIM in 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Laval in 2025-26. Columbus acquired him from Montreal on June 25 in exchange for Hunter McKown. While a fresh start with a new franchise might help Tuch, he is expected to begin the upcoming campaign in the minors.

Blue Jackets' Luke Tuch: Dealt to Columbus
Tuch was traded to the Blue Jackets from the Canadiens on Thursday in exchange for Hunter McKown, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Tuch has spent the past two seasons with AHL Laval, most recently recording nine goals, five assists and 82 PIM across 68 regular-season appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. He's slated to become a restricted free agent during the offseason but will get a change of scenery ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Tuch was reassigned to AHL Laval on Tuesday.
Tuch was brought up earlier in the day to play versus the Senators in a preseason contest. The 22-year-old winger is expected to begin the year in the AHL, but he may get a chance to make his NHL debut in 2024-25.

Tuch was recalled from AHL Laval on Tuesday.
Tuch generated 30 points in 39 regular-season games with Boston University in 2023-24. The 22-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut, but that could potentially come as soon as this season.
