Miller (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, retroactive to Oct. 20.
Miller has been sidelined for over a week due to his lower-body injury, and his move to injured reserve is procedural to make room on the roster for Pyotr Kochetkov (lower body), who was activated from IR in a corresponding move. Miller skated during Friday's practice session, but he'll likely need to skate with the full team before he's in the mix to return to game action.

Miller will be out for a straight game against Dallas on Saturday, but Saturday's update is still encouraging. He has averaged 23:32 of ice time across six appearances this year. It seems Miller hasn't fully recovered from offseason surgery to address an upper-body issue. There hasn't been any indication from the team that this problem will linger into the regular season, but it's certainly something fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on. Last season, the 25-year-old Minnesota native failed to get over the 30-point threshold but should be capable of achieving that mark if he avoids any lengthy stints on the sideline.
