Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Loaned to AHL San Jose
Chernyshov was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Friday, per Max Miller of NHL.com.
Chernyshov was a solid addition to San Jose this season. In a pair of stints with the big club, the 20-year-old rookie had nine goals and 19 points across 28 games, including four goals and an assist in his last five games. He seems to be entrenched on the top line alongside Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith, and Chernyshov should be a middle-round pick in fantasy pools next season.

Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Finds twine on power play
Chernyshov tallied a power-play goal and put two shots on net in Thursday's 6-1 win over Winnipeg.
Chernyshov finished the regular season hot with his fourth goal over his last four games. The 20-year-old winger wrapped up his rookie campaign with nine goals, 19 points, 46 shots on net, 17 hits and 13 blocked shots across 28 games this season. He showed many flashes of elite potential throughout the season while skating in a majority of his games next to Macklin Celebrini on the team's top line. Chernyshov has a bright outlook in dynasty leagues ahead of next season and could make an impact in most standard fantasy leagues if the Sharks keep him at the NHL level for all of next season.

He's been in and out of San Jose's lineup over the past few weeks due to an illness, but he appears to be back on track with three goals and four points in his last two games. He is a high-upside option in dynasty-based fantasy formats ahead of next season.

Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Pots pair in shootout loss
Chernyshov scored two goals on four shots, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Chernyshov was a healthy scratch Thursday versus the Ducks, but he got back into the lineup and snapped a five-game point drought with a big performance. The 20-year-old's talent is obvious, but there are some details to his game that still need work. That said, a spot alongside Macklin Celebrini on the top line is enticing for any fantasy manager looking for a boost of offense. Chernyshov is up to seven goals, 16 points, 41 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-1 rating over 25 appearances in his rookie year.

Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Headed back to minors
Chernyshov was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Thursday.
Chernyshov's demotion is a good sign that the Sharks anticipate getting one of their four players currently on injured reserve back for Friday's clash with the Rangers. In his 15 appearances for San Jose this year, the 20-year-old winger racked up three goals and eight helpers, including a trio of power-play points. Given his offensive upside, it seems unlikely this will be Chernyshov's last stint on the NHL roster this year.

Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Two helpers against Cats
Chernyshov produced two assists in Monday's 4-1 win over the Panthers.
The rookie winger helped set up two second-period tallies, including what proved to be the game-winner by Vincent Desharnais. Chernyshov had just one point (an assist) over his prior seven games as his early scoring binge fades, and the 20-year-old has fallen out of a top-six role, although he's still skating on the second power-play unit.

Sharks' Igor Chernyshov: Adds pair of points in win
Chernyshov netted a goal and tallied an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Wild.
Chernyshov opened the second period with a goal inside the first 90 seconds before he later recorded the lone helper on Macklin Celebrini's tally in the third. With the pair of assists, Chernysov now has three goals, five assists and 16 shots on net through his first seven career games in the NHL. The 20-year-old winger has stepped up admirably alongside Macklin Celebrini on the team's top line in the absence of Will Smith (upper body). If Chernyshev can sustain even a fraction of his current production when Smith returns in the near future, the rookie will remain a high-upside streaming option at the NHL level if he stays with the Sharks. For now, Chernyshev is a top pickup on the waiver wire in most fantasy formats.
