Philadelphia fans have been clamoring for more Andrae after a rock-solid season debut in Monday's win over Florida. Instead, they'll get the opposite, as he was sent back to the Phantoms on Wednesday. The 23-year-old averaged 17:20 of ice time with the Flyers in 42 appearances last season, and has proven just about all he can at the AHL level. It shouldn't be long before we see him back in a Philadelphia sweater.

Flyers' Emil Andrae: Recalled to big club
Andrae has been recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley by the Flyers, the team announced Sunday.
Andrae played 42 games with the Flyers last season, registering one goal and six assists, but he started this year in the minors. After one game with Lehigh Valley in which the 23-year-old had two assists, the Flyers are bringing him back up to the NHL level, with Dennis Gilbert going down to the AHL in a corresponding move. It remains to be seen whether or not Andrae was brought up to play immediately or serve as NHL depth.

Andrae has received another chance to prove himself in the absence of Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body), but it hasn't gone well. In addition to the lack of points, Andrae has a minus-7 rating, 13 hits, 13 blocked shots and 17 shots on net since his recall. He's at six points, 48 shots on net, 47 blocks, 43 hits and a minus-5 rating through 38 outings this season.
