Walker has three goals and two helpers over his last four contests. This level of scoring won't last for the 30-year-old defenseman, but he's filled in admirably as a top blueliner for the Hurricanes amid the team's ongoing injuries woes on defense. Walker is at six points, 32 shots on net, 31 hits and 23 blocked shots through 15 appearances.

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Back-to-back two-point games
Walker scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 win over Minnesota on Thursday.
The goal was Walker's second in as many games. He fired a wrist shot from inside the blue line five seconds after a first-period power play had expired. Walker has back-to-back multi-point games for the first time in the NHL after putting up a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win against the Rangers on Monday. It's his eighth season in the league.

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Two-point effort on Broadway
Walker scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rangers.
After helping to set up Nikolaj Ehlers in the first period for what proved to be the game-winner, Walker potted his own tally late in the second by sneaking a shot through heavy traffic in front of Igor Shesterkin. Walker is getting a look on the top power-play unit with Shayne Gostisbehere (abdomen), Jaccob Slavin (lower body) and K'Andre Miller (lower body) all currently on the shelf, and Tuesday's performance snapped an eight-game point drought for the 30-year-old blueliner. While he has just seven goals and 19 points in 94 regular-season games with Carolina, Walker showed some offensive upside in 2023-24 with the Flyers, collecting six goals and 22 points in 63 contests. He could have some fantasy appeal while getting regular shifts with the man advantage.

Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Opens scoring Tuesday
Walker scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM, doled out two hits and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
Walker will be asked for heavy defensive minutes while Jaccob Slavin (lower body) is out of action, which could be for the entirety of the Hurricanes' six-game road trip. The goal was Walker's first point in three outings this season. The 30-year-old blueliner has added eight hits, six blocks and a minus-2 rating while playing in a top-four role to start 2025-26. Walker missed Carolina's final three playoff games last year because of the injury.
