Nadeau's first NHL goal put the Canes up 1-0 early in the first period. He intercepted Maxim Tsyplakov's clearing attempt and wired a wrist shot past David Rittich from the left dot. Carolina selected Nadeau in the first round of the 2023 NHL Draft. Nadeau is averaging 10:41 of ice time in three games this season. His fantasy value lies in the future -- that's not enough exposure to boost his offensive totals.

Nadeau was promoted from AHL Chicago on Friday.
Nadeau was one of the best prospects outside of the NHL before being summoned, and injuries to the Hurricanes' forward group could afford him a lengthy look with the big club. He'll likely begin in a bottom-six role as he fills in for Eric Robinson (upper body) and William Carrier (lower body). Nadeau has four points over three AHL outings this year.

Nadeau is primed for his first taste of minor-league action after scoring 19 goals and earning 27 assists in 37 games for the University of Maine in 2023-24. He appeared in one regular-season contest with the Hurricanes in 2023-24 and should get more opportunities with the big club this campaign.
