Mesar logged three assists in AHL Laval's 5-2 win over Hartford on Saturday.
Mesar has had a fairly unremarkable start to his first full professional season. He had put up just one goal over his previous nine outings. Overall, the 21-year-old is up to two goals, seven points and 19 shots on net over 14 appearances this season.

Canadiens' Filip Mesar: Returned to OHL
The Canadiens loaned Mesar to OHL Kitchener on Saturday.
Mesar, who was drafted 26th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, picked up one assist in two minor-league games with the Rocket this season. The 19-year-old winger had 17 goals and 51 points in 52 OHL games during the 2022-23 campaign.

Canadiens' Filip Mesar: Loaned to OHL
Mesar was loaned to Kitchener of the OHL on Saturday.
Mesar played in Friday's 6-5 overtime loss to Belleville in his AHL debut. He posted two shots on goal and finished with a minus-1 rating in the contest. Mesar, who was the No. 26 pick by the Canadiens in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, will continue his development in the junior hockey ranks.

Canadiens' Filip Mesar: Heading to AHL
Mesar was loaned to Laval of the AHL on Tuesday.
It was speculated that Mesar could be sent to the OHL to begin the 2022-23 season, but that won't be the case. Even though Kitchener still might be a potential landing spot for him, the 18-year-old forward will start out in the AHL. He was selected by the Canadiens with the 26th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft.
