Devils' Nico Hischier: Records three points in loss
Hischier scored two goals, dished out a power-play assist, fired five shots on target and served two PIM in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Philadelphia.
Hischier once again carried a heavy workload and did his best to keep New Jersey in the game with two straight goals across the end of the second period into the middle of the third. He also picked up a power-play assist on Timo Meier's power-play tally early in the first period. With the trio of points, Hischier is up to six goals, 10 assists, 48 shots on net and 23 blocks through 21 games this season. After a rocky start to the season offensively, Hischier has found his stride and has been a leader up the center of the ice for New Jersey. With Jack Hughes (finger) potentially sidelined into January, Hischier will likely continue to lead New Jersey's forwards in ice time, making him a reliable option in most fantasy formats.

The first overall selection in the 2017 NHL Draft has posted 60 or more points in each of the past four regular seasons. In the absence of Jack Hughes (finger), Hischier's stock has increased, and the Devils captain is a reliable player for fantasy managers.

Hischier is up to three goals, 11 points, 26 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 12 appearances. Devils' Nico Hischier: Kicks off camp Thursday
Hischier (lower body) participated in Thursday's training camp session, Mike Morreale of NHL.com reports.

Despite playing in just 75 regular-season contests last year, the 26-year-old center still managed to set a new career best in goals (35) and power-play points (29). He'll look to once again push for the 40-goal threshold this year while offering top-end fantasy value.
