  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Earns second straight win

Vejmelka stopped 12 of 16 shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Penguins. Vejmelka has won back-to-back starts for the second time this month, and he's won four of his last six outings. The record doesn't tell the whole story, though. The 29-year-old netminder has allowed at least three goals in four straight starts, a span in which he's posted a 3.54 GAA and a subpar .877 save percentage. Vejmelka might remain a valuable source for wins, but his peripheral stats haven't been favorable for fantasy managers who continue to trust him, even though he's firmly entrenched as the Mammoth's No. 1 goaltender.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Starting against Penguins

Vejmelka led the Mammoth out for warmups and will start Sunday's game against the Penguins, Catherine Bogart of the Mammoth's official site reports. Vejmelka will make his fourth straight start for the Mammoth. The 29-year-old has allowed three goals or more in all three prior outings and 10 goals total. Overall, he holds a 13-9-2 record, a 2.73 GAA and an .895 save percentage on the season. On the other side is a Penguins team that has lost four games in a row but is still averaging three goals per game over that stretch.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Between pipes against Seattle

Vejmelka was the first goalie off during Friday's morning skate, Brogan Houston of Deseret News Sports reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Kraken. Vejmelka has been relatively effective recently, posting a 2.33 GAA and .920 save percentage over his last six appearances, but he has a lackluster 2-3-0 record during that time. He'll have a favorable matchup Friday, as the Kraken are scoring just 2.50 goals per game this year, which is tied for the worst mark in the NHL.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Loses to Panthers

Vejmelka stopped 32 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers. Vejmelka overcame giving up two goals in a span of 1:44 to Sam Bennett in the second period. He was steady for most of the third, but Anton Lundell's tally in the final minute decided the contest. Vejmelka has lost his last two appearances, and he's given up seven goals on 62 shots in that span. For the season, the 29-year-old netminder is at a 12-9-2 record with a 2.72 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 24 starts. The Mammoth host the low-scoring Kraken on Friday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: In goal Wednesday

Vejmelka will start in goal at home versus the Panthers on Wednesday, Catherine Bogart of the Mammoth's official site reports. Vejmelka is 2-2-0 with eight goals allowed over his last five appearances. The Panthers have scored 18 goals over their last six games, though they've won just two of them. Given Vejmelka's stingy play lately, he'll likely continue to be a strong fantasy goalie.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Allows three goals in loss

Vejmelka turned aside 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kings. Despite tending a clean second period to give the Mammoth a chance to come back in Monday's contest, Vejmelka would allow the game-winning goal to Anze Kopitar less than four minutes into the third. After Monday's loss, Vejmelka now has a 12-8-2 record with a 2.66 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 23 outings this season. The 29-year-old netminder had won each of his last two contests prior to Monday's loss, which is an encouraging sign that he could bounce back soon. He's tied for fourth in wins among the league's goaltenders and is set to see a bulk of the opportunities for Utah moving forward. Vejmelka is a solid fantasy option in two-goalie formats. His next chance to guard the crease is Wednesday against the Panthers.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: First goalie off Monday

Vejmelka was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Kings. Vejmelka has been sharp over his last two starts, going 2-0-0 with just one goal allowed on 60 shots in those contests. He'll have a favorable matchup against the Kings, who are scoring just 2.68 goals per game this year, which is the sixth-worst mark in the NHL.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Stays sharp in win

Vejmelka stopped 31 of 32 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canucks. Vejmelka has allowed just one goal on 59 shots over his last two outings. He lost his bid for a second straight shutout when Arshdeep Bains scored at 4:17 of the third period. Vejmelka is now 12-7-2 with a 2.64 GAA and an .894 save percentage through 22 starts this season. Vitek Vanecek is likely to get the nod for Saturday's road game versus the Flames, but Vejmelka should be between the pipes Monday at home against the Kings.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Tending twine in Vancouver

Vejmelka will start in goal on the road in Friday's game versus the Canucks. Vejmelka will get the nod after posting a 27-save shutout over the high-scoring Ducks on Wednesday. This is the first half of a back-to-back, which makes it likely Vitek Vanecek will get the nod Saturday versus the Flames. Vejmelka faces a Canucks team that has scored 13 goals over the last six games, winning just one of them.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Struggles against Sharks

Vejmelka stopped six of nine shots before he was pulled from Monday's 6-3 loss to the Sharks. Vejmelka was spared the loss since the Mammoth were able to cover the three goals he allowed, but this was an ugly performance. The 29-year-old has allowed three-plus goals in three of his last six appearances. He remains at 10-7-2 on the year, but his GAA is up to 2.87 while his save percentage slipped to .882 after the poor outing. Vitek Vanecek didn't exactly impress in relief, stopping 18 of 21 shots, but Vejmelka's recent inconsistency could open the door for more of a timeshare in the crease. The Mammoth's road trip continues in Anaheim on Wednesday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Drawing start Monday

Vejmelka was the first goalie off during Monday's morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the road start against San Jose. Vejmelka was relatively solid in November despite a 4-5-2 record, as he posted a 2.73 GAA and .883 save percentage. The Sharks are scoring just 2.81 goals per game this season, which is the eighth-worst mark in the league. Vejmelka drew a home start against San Jose on Oct. 17, turning aside 18 of 21 shots (.857 save percentage) en route to the victory.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Unlucky loss Saturday

Vejmelka allowed one goal on 19 shots in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Blues. Neither team had much going in this contest, as both fell short of the 20-shot mark. The difference was Dylan Holloway's goal late in the second period, which was enough to stick Vejmelka with his third regulation loss in his last five outings. In that span, he's allowed just 12 goals on 125 shots. Overall, Vejmelka is now 10-7-2 with a 2.74 GAA and an .887 save percentage through 19 starts. The Mammoth's road trip continues with four more games, starting with a meeting against San Jose on Monday. Vejmelka figures to play in two or three of those contests, a stretch that also includes visits to Anaheim on Wednesday, Vancouver on Friday and Calgary on Saturday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Slated to start Saturday

Vejmelka is expected to start on the road against St. Louis on Saturday, per Lou Korac of NHL.com. Vejmelka has a 10-6-2 record, 2.84 GAA and .884 save percentage in 18 outings this year. He stopped 13 of 17 shots in a 4-3 loss to Montreal on Wednesday. St. Louis ranks 28th in goals per game with 2.68.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Falters against Montreal

Vejmelka allowed four goals on 17 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens. Vejmelka faced a season low in shots, but he ended up giving up at least four goals for the second time in four starts and the fifth time overall this year. The Canadiens' top line and power play did the bulk of the damage, and second-liner Ivan Demidov delivered the decisive goal in the third period. Vejmelka dropped to 10-6-2 with a 2.84 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 18 starts. The Mammoth begin a road trip Friday in Dallas, and that's the first half of a back-to-back that also sees them visit St. Louis on Saturday. Look for Vejmelka and Vitek Vanecek to split those starts.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Expected to start Wednesday

Vejmelka is slated to start at home against Montreal on Wednesday, per Cole Bagley of KSL Sports. Vejmelka has won his past two starts while saving 53 of 56 shots (.946 save percentage). He's 10-5-2 with a 2.76 GAA and an .889 save percentage in 17 outings this season. Montreal lost five straight games (0-4-1) from Nov. 11-20, but the Canadiens might have turned a corner with their 5-2 victory over Toronto on Saturday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Strong performance in win

Vejmelka allowed one goal on 34 shots in Monday's 5-1 win over the Golden Knights. Vejmelka picked up his second win in a row and avenged his 4-1 loss to Vegas from Thursday. He was sharp between the pipes, and a four-goal game from Logan Cooley was more than enough help. Vejmelka improved to 10-5-2 on the year with a 2.76 GAA and an .889 save percentage in 17 outings. He's mostly faced light workloads, facing 27 shots or less in 13 of those games, but he's 3-1-0 with a 2.50 GAA and a .926 save percentage over four contests in which he's seen 30-plus shots. The Mammoth host the Canadiens on Wednesday before heading out on a six-game road trip, a stretch that could prove challenging since Vejmelka has a 3.11 GAA and an .872 save percentage in eight games away from the Delta Center.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: First goalie off Monday

Vejmelka was the first goalie to exit the ice Monday, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports, indicating he'll defend the cage at home versus Vegas. Vejmelka has posted middling results of late, going 2-1-2 with a 2.77 GAA in his last five outings. Despite the overtime losses, the 29-year-old netminder was able to secure his team at least a point in four of those contests, keeping the Mammoth in the hunt for a playoff spot. With one more win, Vejmelka will earn his 10th victory of the season, a threshold he's reached in each of his prior four NHL campaigns.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Collects win over Rangers

Vejmelka stopped 20 of 22 shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Rangers. Vejmelka was 0-1-2 with 10 goals allowed over his last three games before snapping the skid in this win. He allowed goals to Vladislav Gavrikov and Artemi Panarin, but Nick DeSimone had the game-winning tally for the Mammoth in the third period. Vejmelka is up to 9-5-2 with a 2.87 GAA and an .884 save percentage over 16 starts. He's been a reliable source of starts and wins as Utah's No. 1 goalie, but his ratios are still a little underwhelming for fantasy. The Mammoth have a tough matchup ahead when they host the Golden Knights on Monday.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Looking to get back in win column

Vejmelka will be between the home pipes Saturday against the Rangers, according to Catherine Bogart of Mammoth's official site. Vejmelka has lost three consecutive outings (two in overtime) and is 1-2-2 with a 3.56 GAA and an .852 save percentage across his last five starts. He'll have a relatively favorable matchup against a Rangers squad that ranks 30th in the league with 2.50 goals per game and is mired in a three-game losing streak. However, New York has been good on the road with a 9-3-1 record in 2025-26.
