  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Scores in Thursday's shootout win

Greig scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Islanders. Greig battled a strain in the Senators' game versus the Blues on Tuesday, but he was able to avoid missing a contest. The 24-year-old centered the fourth line and delivered the Senators' lone goal in regulation Thursday. He has two points, nine shots on net, six hits, five blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-2 rating over six appearances. Greig has moved around the lineup a fair amount early in the season, so it remains to be seen where he'll settle in for the long run.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Set to play Thursday

Greig (strain) is expected to be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Islanders. Greig missed the final frame of Tuesday's game against the Blues due to a strain, but he's expected to center the fourth line a few days later. Across his five appearances to begin the regular season, he's recorded no goals, an assist, six hits, six PIM and five blocked shots while averaging 16:33 of ice time.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Dealing with strain

Greig was held out of the third period of Tuesday's game versus the Blues due to a strain, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic reports. The general area of the strain was not revealed. The Senators lost the contest 7-2, so there may have been an element of caution in keeping Greig out. The 24-year-old is day-to-day ahead of Thursday's contest versus the Islanders.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Eligible to return from suspension

Greig has served his two-game suspension and is eligible to return ahead of Tuesday's road clash with Detroit. Greig was given a two-game suspension by the NHL Department of Player Safety after he fired a gloved punch at the face of Carolina blueliner Sean Walker, who was already in a headlock from Warren Foegele. Prior to the incident, the 24-year-old Greig put together solid all-around totals in the 2025-26 regular season, where he posted 13 goals , 35 points, 129 shots on net, 96 hits and 52 blocked shots across 77 outings. He could potentially make his season debut Tuesday against the Red Wings, and if he does, he'll likely slot somewhere in the Senators' middle six to begin his 2026-27 campaign.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Receives two-game suspension

Greig was suspended for two 2026-27 regular-season games by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for roughing Carolina's Sean Walker on April 25. The incident occurred in Ottawa's season-ending Game 4 playoff loss to the Hurricanes. Greig had one assist in the series after collecting 13 goals, 35 points, 129 shots on net and 96 hits in 77 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Hit with hearing

Greig will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for roughing Sean Walker during Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes. The incident in question surrounds a post-whistle scrum in which Greig punched Walker while Walker was engaged with another player. The 23-year-old Greig was not penalized on the play, but the Department of Player Safety will take a look regardless. The Senators were eliminated with Saturday's loss, so if a suspension is handed down, Greig would have to serve it at the beginning of next season.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Pots shorthanded winner Saturday

Greig scored a shorthanded goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Islanders. The first-period shortie proved to be the game-winner, as it was all the offensive support Linus Ullmark would need. Greig has three multi-point efforts in the last six games, carrying him to a career-high 35 points in 75 contests. If the 23-year-old can score one more goal over the Senators' final two regular-season games, he would establish a new career high of 14 as well.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Logs pair of helpers

Greig registered two assists, three shots on goal, four hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes. Greig has picked up the pace with a goal and four assists over his last four outings. Prior to that stretch, he had logged just one goal over 10 games. The 23-year-old forward is up to 33 points this season -- one shy of matching his total from 78 regular-season contests a year ago. He's added 123 shots on net, 89 hits, 81 PIM, 50 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 72 appearances in a middle-six role.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Two-point effort Thursday

Greig produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over Buffalo. After helping to set up Dylan Cozens for Ottawa's first goal late in the first period, Greig potted an empty-netter late in the third. It was Greig's first multi-point performance since Jan. 20, but he's closing in on career highs with 12 goals and 31 points through 70 games on the season.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Pots goal in win Monday

Greig scored a goal in Monday's 2-0 win over the Canucks. Greig broke the deadlock for Ottawa midway through the second period with a wrister, and that was his 10th goal of the season. The 23-year-old snapped a nine-game goalless skid with this tally, but with just 10 goals and 17 assists in 58 contests, he's not producing enough to be a reliable fantasy option in most formats -- even if he has a top-six role in the Senators' lineup.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Pots goal Thursday

Greig scored a goal and took three shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Predators. Greig has found the back of the net in back-to-back contests and is riding one of his most productive stretches of the campaign. The 23-year-old has 23 points in 45 games so far this season, though he's racked up seven points (two goals, five helpers) over his last five outings. Greig should continue to see a decent amount of scoring opportunities as long as he remains in a top-six role.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Two-point effort Tuesday

Greig produced a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets. Both points came in the third period, providing a little insurance for the Senators. Greig is putting together an impressive January, recording three goals and nine points in 11 games while skating in a middle-six role and getting shifts on the second power-play unit.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Tallies in win

Greig scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Capitals. Greig has three goals over his last four games. He helped the Senators erase a 2-0 deficit, scoring late in the second period to tie the contest. The 23-year-old forward is up to five goals, 14 points, 59 shots on net, 42 hits, 43 PIM and 23 blocked shots across 34 appearances. He was listed on the fourth line Thursday but has typically functioned as a middle-six forward regardless of what the Senators' lineup looks like on paper.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Outmuscles opponent on breakaway

Greig scored a goal Saturday in a 7-5 loss to the Maple Leafs. Greig won a puck battle with Philippe Myers on a breakaway and managed to get the puck on net. Myers fell backward while backchecking and ended up driving the loose puck into the twine tent as he slid into Joseph Woll. Greig has four goals, nine assists and 53 shots in 32 contests this season, and he also has four points over his last five contests.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: First point since injury

Greig notched an assist, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jackets. Greig had gone without a point in his first five games after an undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old is set to see a little more ice time while Shane Pinto (lower body) is out. Greig has contributed nine points, 43 shots, 31 hits, 22 PIM and 16 blocked shots over 25 outings.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Set to play

Greig (undisclosed) is slated to play against Dallas on Sunday. After missing the last five games, Greig will occupy a fourth-line role against the Stars on Sunday. He has provided two goals, six assists, 30 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and 25 hits across 19 appearances this season. With Greig ready to return, Hayden Hodgson will be a healthy scratch.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Won't play against Vegas

Greig (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports. Greig continues to deal with an undisclosed injury, and he'll remain sidelined for a fourth consecutive game Wednesday. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return, but Stephen Halliday should continue to handle a fourth-line role for the Senators in Greig's absence.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Remains out against Kings

Greig (undisclosed) will not be an option versus Los Angeles on Monday, Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site reports. Greig will be shelved for his third straight game due to his lingering undisclosed injury. Prior to getting hurt, the 23-year-old center was starting to find his stride offensively with four points in his last five outings. With Greig out, Stephen Halliday will continue to feature in a fourth-line role.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Not expected to play Saturday

Greig (undisclosed) is not in the projected lineup for Saturday's game versus the Sharks. Greig is poised to miss his second straight game with the injury. He is day-to-day, but it's unclear when the 23-year-old will be ready to return. The Senators' next game is in Los Angeles on Monday as the team's season-long road trip continues.

  • Senators' Ridly Greig: Earns two points in win

Greig scored a goal, dished an assist, added three hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Mammoth. Greig started the season with three points over four games, but he cooled off quickly. He's showing a little more offense again with three points across his last four outings, including his goal Sunday, which was his first since Oct. 13. The 23-year-old forward has a total of two goals, five helpers, 24 shots on net, 22 hits, 11 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 16 appearances. He's on a pace similar to the one that yielded 13 goals and 35 points over 78 regular-season contests in 2024-25, so it's a little discouraging that his offense isn't trending up in his third full campaign.
