Canucks' Marco Rossi: Removed from IR
Rossi (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Sunday.
In a corresponding move, the Canucks placed Elias Pettersson (upper body) on injured reserve. Based on Saturday's practice, Rossi will occupy a top-line role and see time on the first power-play unit against New Jersey on Sunday. He will make his Vancouver debut after being acquired from Minnesota on Friday as part of the trade that sent Quinn Hughes to the Wild. Rossi has four goals, 13 points, 27 shots on net, eight blocked shots and 11 hits through 17 appearances this season.

Canucks' Marco Rossi: Heading to Vancouver
Rossi (lower body) was traded Friday to the Canucks from the Wild, along with Zeev Buium, Liam Ohgren and a 2026 first-round pick in exchange for Quinn Hughes, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Rossi is reportedly nearing a return from his injury and was potentially ready to play Sunday. Instead, he'll be linking up with a new team, and it's unclear if Rossi will be ready to go for Sunday's contest versus the Devils. Rossi will need to be activated from injured reserve prior to making his Canucks debut. The center has 13 points over 17 appearances this season and put up 60 points in 82 regular-season outings a year ago, but his short-term scoring potential will take a hit with his move to last-place Vancouver.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Could play Sunday
Head coach John Hynes said Friday that Rossi (lower body) is considered day-to-day and could play Sunday against the Bruins, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
Rossi has been on injured reserve since mid-November due to his lower-body injury, but he's progressing in his recovery and closing in on a return. Hynes' update Friday suggests that Rossi will miss at least one more game Saturday against the Senators, but the 24-year-old could be back in action for the second half of the back-to-back set. Over 17 appearances this year, he's recorded four goals, nine assists, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 18:06 of ice time.

Rossi (lower body) will not join the team on its current four-game road trip, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports Thursday.
The Wild opened the road trip Tuesday with a 1-0 win in Edmonton. Rossi will miss his 10th straight game Thursday in Calgary. Rossi had four goals and nine assists in 17 games before he was placed on injured reserve.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Status for road trip uncertain
Rossi's (lower body) status for the Wild's upcoming four-game road trip has yet to be decided but will be figured out in the coming days, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports Saturday.
Rossi was deemed week-to-week in mid-November before his placement on injured reserve. The fact that he's in discussion to go on this road trip, which begins Tuesday in Edmonton, is an encouraging sign in his recovery, though he's not guaranteed to be activated even if he travels.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Placed on injured reserve
Rossi (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Head coach John Hynes revealed earlier Friday that Rossi is considered week-to-week, so it isn't very surprising to see the 24-year-old officially land on injured reserve. Ryan Hartman and Joel Eriksson Ek will likely take on top-six roles in Rossi's absence, while Danila Yurov should see increased opportunities.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Considered week-to-week
Rossi (lower body) was labeled week-to-week by head coach John Hynes on Friday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Rossi's absence will create a huge hole down the middle of the Wild's lineup. Ryan Hartman and Joel Eriksson Ek figure to take on top-six roles while Danila Yurov could see a significant uptick in opportunities. The 24-year-old Rossi has managed just four goals in 17 outings, which would see him miss the 20-goal threshold even without an injury absence.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Pots goal Friday
Rossi scored a goal on two shots and recorded a hit in Friday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Rossi returned to the scoresheet after going without a point in his previous two outings. Rossi had a five-game point streak before. The 24-year-old playmaker continues to be a reliable offensive weapon for Minnesota while establishing great chemistry alongside Kirill Kaprizov. Rossi has nine points (three goals, six assists), a minus-4 rating, 18 shots, nine hits and six blocked shots over his last 10 games.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Restores lead with goal
Rossi scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and levied three hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Canucks.
Rossi has two goals and five assists during his five-game point streak. His tally Saturday put the Wild up 2-1 in the second period, and they maintained a lead the rest of the way. The 24-year-old center is at three goals, nine helpers, 22 shots on net, nine hits, six blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 12 appearances this season. He should continue to provide steady offense as long as he stays on the top line.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Picks up two assists
Rossi notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Winnipeg.
Rossi notched multiple points for the second straight game and is now producing at a point-per-game pace through his first 10 outings. The former first-round pick tallied 24 goals and 36 assists during the 2024-25 regular season and appears ready to take another step forward in his third full campaign with Minnesota. His offensive surge has solidified his spot as the top-line center next to Kirill Kaprizov, making him look like a major draft-day bargain for fantasy managers who landed him in the later rounds in standard leagues.

Wild's Marco Rossi: Scores, assists vs. San Jose
Rossi delivered an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Sunday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Sharks.

Rossi (lower body) is slated to play Wednesday against New Jersey, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.

He sustained an injury on the blocked shot late in the contest. The 24-year-old has supplied one goal, four helpers and eight shots on net through six appearances this season. Wild's Marco Rossi: Scores, assists Thursday
Rossi scored an even-strength goal and added an assist in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Blues.
Rossi is coming off a career-best season in 2024-25 after racking up 24 goals and 60 points, and he seems to have picked things up right where he left off in this new season. Rossi is firmly entrenched as a top-six forward for the Wild and should continue to have tons of opportunities to produce as long as he continues to skate alongside Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy, with each of them having three points in this season-opening victory.
