Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Placed on injured reserve
Foerster (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Monday, retroactive to Nov. 1.
Foerster was already slated to miss the Flyers' next few games after getting hurt while blocking a shot against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, so it isn't very surprising to see him land on injured reserve. Owen Tippett or Rodrigo Abols will likely move up the lineup in Foerster's absence, while defenseman Emil Andrae was recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Foerster scored 29 seconds into the game, but that goal was the only one Linus Ullmark gave up. Foerster has been consistent early in the season, getting on the scoresheet in five of six games. This was his first power-play point of the campaign. He's at two goals, three assists, 12 shots on net and a plus-5 rating while occupying a middle-six role. If he keeps going at this pace, he'll have no trouble surpassing his career-high 43 points from last season.
