Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Records helper
Foerster notched an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.
Foerster missed time in training camp while getting back to 100 percent after dealing with an elbow infection that required a procedure. The 23-year-old winger has filled a third-line role to start 2025-26, and he's earned an assist in each of the first two games. He's added five shots on net and a plus-2 rating. The Flyers' top three lines are still fairly interchangeable, so Foerster remains in a good spot to build on his 25-goal, 43-point campaign from 2024-25.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Ready to rock
Foerster (elbow) will be in the lineup for Monday's exhibition matchup against Boston, per Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports.
Foerster will make his preseason debut after recovering from an offseason procedure to address an infection in his elbow. He produced 25 goals, 43 points, 142 shots on net and 75 hits across 81 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Foerster will probably occupy a top-six role this campaign while seeing plenty of action on the power play.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Ditches non-contact sweater
Foerster (elbow) practiced with the non-game group in a regular jersey Tuesday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
Foerster should probably still be considered questionable heading into Thursday's preseason game against Washington, but at least he is trending in the right direction. Assuming the 23-year-old winger is cleared ahead of Opening Night against the Panthers on Oct. 9, he should fill a top-six role while seeing minutes with one of the power-play units. Look for him to challenge for the 30-goal threshold this year after racking up 25 in 81 regular-season games last season.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Not cleared for contact yet
Foerster (elbow) could be cleared for contact in about a week, according to Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports on Tuesday.
Foerster should participate in the Flyers' exhibition schedule after getting the green light. He had an offseason procedure to address an infection in his elbow. The 23-year-old forward accounted for 25 goals, 43 points, 142 shots on net and 75 hits across 81 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Foerster remains on track to be available for Opening Night against the Islanders on Oct. 9.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Should be available Opening Night
Foerster (elbow) is expected to be ready for Opening Night against the Islanders on Oct. 9, Sam Carchidi of Philly Hockey Now reports Thursday.
Foerster suffered his elbow injury at the IIHF World Championship, which raised doubts regarding his availability to start the season with the Flyers. Once given the all-clear, the winger could push for a top-six role, especially given the lack of experienced depth at forward. Barring a significant drop off in his production, Foerster should be capable of reaching both the 25-goal and 40-point thresholds this year, marks he hit in 2024-25.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Uncertain for start of season
Foerster sustained an injury and a subsequent infection in his elbow while representing Team Canada at the IIHF World Championship, and his status for training camp is up in the air, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports Tuesday.
Foerster's unclear status could leave the Flyers without one of their top players early in the season. The winger is currently in a wait-and-see mode regarding the infection, which is where the doubt about his status comes from. The Flyers' forward depth is still a bit lackluster, but Trevor Zegras or Owen Tippett could be candidates for larger roles if Foerster begins 2025-26 on the shelf.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Goal, assist in loss
Foerster scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Sabres.
Foerster had nine goals and two assists over the last nine games of the season. The winger seemed more free to shine after John Tortorella was fired as the head coach, which could bode well for Foerster heading into 2025-26. He took a small step forward this season, ending with 25 goals, 43 points (eight on the power play), 142 shots on net, 75 hits, 54 blocked shots, 49 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 81 appearances. If he can elevate his shot volume, Foerster could be a 30-goal, 60-point threat next season.

Foerster scored twice Saturday in a 4-3 shootout win over the Islanders.
His first put the Flyers up 1-0. Foerster skated through the crease and roofed a backhand under the crossbar on a second-period power play. He put his team up 3-2 midway through the third with a shot from the slot. Foerster has been on fire lately after scuffling through a 17-game period where he tallied just two goals. In his last six outings, the 23-year-old forward has eight goals, including six during his current three-game streak. Foerster is a must-roll in daily formats until the season's end.

The 23-year-old winger is up to 19 goals, 36 points, 127 shots on net, 71 hits, 52 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a minus-12 rating across 76 appearances. Foerster earned his first multi-point effort in over a month -- his last was a three-point game Feb. 25 versus the Penguins. Overall, he's produced a career-high 35 points (18 goals, 17 assists) with 126 shots on net, 69 hits, 51 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 74 outings.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Scores in Thursday's win
Foerster scored a goal on four shots, added two hits and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens.
Foerster snapped a month-long goal drought -- he had been limited to four assists over the last 14 games of John Tortorella's tenure as head coach. The change behind the bench, currently with interim head coach Brad Shaw, may lead to a bit more freedom for some of the Flyers' top scorers. Foerster has 17 goals and 33 points in 73 outings this season, matching his point total from his 77-game sample as a rookie last year. He's added 124 shots on net, 69 hits, 51 blocked shots, 43 PIM and a minus-11 rating in 2024-25.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Generates assist in overtime loss
Foerster recorded an assist, six shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Stars.
Foerster snapped a five-game point drought with the helper. He's been limited to three assists over his last 12 games, though he has added 28 shots, 23 hits and a minus-6 rating in that span. Foerster's still in a top-six role and is now at 31 points, 117 shots, 61 hits, 46 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 70 contests overall. He brings more than just offense to the table in fantasy, but managers will still likely want to see his name on the scoresheet more regularly.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Receiving more ice time
Foerster recorded an assist, two hits and a plus-1 rating in a team-high 23:25 of ice time in Sunday's 3-1 loss to New Jersey.
Foerster has seen his ice time increase in each of the last three games, and Sunday marked the second-most he has received in 2024-25, so he appears to be earning more trust from head coach John Tortorella. Foerster could be a name worth keeping an eye on for fantasy managers if he continues to log heavy minutes on the top line, though the Flyers' struggles as a team could challenge that notion. The right-shot winger has contributed 16 goals and 14 assists over 64 appearances this season.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Five goals in last five games
Foerster had a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over the Penguins on Tuesday.
Foerster has three goals and two assists in his last five games, and he now has 16 goals (28 points) in 58 games. He's on pace to best his 20-goal, 33-point career marks from last season, and he could deliver 40 points for the orange and black. Foerster is developing well in Philly, but his fantasy value remains restricted until he starts to add more consistency to his game. There are plenty of 40-point wingers in the NHL.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Goals in back-to-back games
Foerster scored a power-play goal Thursday in a 4-3 loss to Washington.
The goal snapped a Philly 0-for-10 streak with the man advantage over five games. Foerster has a goal in each of his last two games and 15 on the season. He's on pace to top his 20-goal career mark, which he set last season. But Foerster's 17.9 shooting percentage is well above his 12.0 percent from his rookie season. We don't know which rate is closer to his norm, but his current sub-40 point pace should keep him on the bench in all but the deepest of leagues.

Flyers' Tyson Foerster: Nets goal Tuesday
Foerster scored a goal on the lone shot he took in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Utah.
Foerster lit the lamp just under five minutes into the second period off a feed from captain Sean Couturier. His goal stood as the go-ahead tally until Utah's Dylan Guenther scored two straight to steal the win from Philadelphia. The 23-year-old winger is up to 14 goals, 24 points and 82 shots on net in 54 games this season. Tuesday's goal was Foerster's first point since Jan. 24, ending a five-game drought. The winger's third year in the NHL has had many ups and downs but he remains on pace to set a new career high for points in a season. While more consistent options are likely available on the waiver wire, Foerster's upside and middle-six minutes make him a solid play in fantasy for the time being.

Foerster scored a goal in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders.
Foerster found the back of the net with his lone shot on goal in the latter stages of the first period, but his 13th goal of the campaign wasn't enough to give Philadelphia the win. This was the first time he scored a goal since Jan. 5.
