Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Sustains lower-body injury
Dubois (lower body) won't return to Friday's game versus the Islanders.
Dubois suffered an injury when his leg twisted awkwardly after a faceoff late in the first period. The 27-year-old's status beyond Friday has yet to be announced, but this could be a significant injury. If Dubois is out Saturday versus the Sabres, the Capitals would need to make a move unless Dylan Strome (lower body) is able to return to action.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Ready to return
Dubois (lower body) was taken off injured reserve Saturday.
Ethen Frank, who played in Washington's last two games, was returned to AHL Hershey in a corresponding move. Dubois missed five straight games due to the injury. Now that he's healthy, the 27-year-old should draw into the lineup Saturday versus Ottawa and serve in a top-six capacity with a power-play role.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Not available Friday
Dubois (lower body) will be unavailable Friday in Columbus, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Dubois is getting close to a return as he is practicing in a regular jersey, but he is not 100 percent and will miss his fifth straight game. Dubois is without a point in three games and could return to the Washington lineup as early as Saturday against Ottawa.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Won't return Tuesday
Dubois (lower body) will not be ready to return against Seattle on Tuesday, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Dubois was still wearing a non-contact jersey at practice Monday, so it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him ruled out versus Seattle on Tuesday. At this point, the 27-year-old center should be considered questionable at best heading into Friday's matchup against the Blue Jackets.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Unavailable for Sunday
Per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post on Saturday, Dubois (lower body) will not play Sunday against the Canucks, but he could return Tuesday against Seattle.
Dubois was also placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site, but the move is retroactive to last Sunday's 1-0 win over the Rangers, so he is eligible to be activated ahead of the game against Seattle. He has practiced the last two days in a non-contact jersey, and head coach Spencer Carbery said Saturday that Dubois needs to skate in a regular jersey before Tuesday to give him a chance to face the Kraken. Dubois will miss his third straight game Sunday. He has yet to hit the scoresheet in three appearances this season.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Won't play Friday
Dubois (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wild, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Dubois will miss a second consecutive game due to his lower-body injury Friday, but he remains day-to-day. The Capitals indicated before Friday's matchup that Dubois could be in the mix to return for Sunday's game against the Canucks, but even if he's sidelined against Vancouver, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in game action sometime next week.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Not playing Tuesday
Dubois is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won't be available for Tuesday's home game against Tampa Bay, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com.
Dubois was injured in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Rangers. Connor McMichael is expected to step into the second-line center role while Dubois is unavailable. The 27-year-old Dubois will have a few days to recover before attempting to suit up for Friday's home contest versus the Wild.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Exits Sunday's game in Manhattan
Dubois departed Sunday's 1-0 win over the Rangers in the third period due to an undisclosed injury and did not return, per Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.
Head coach Spencer Carbery said postgame that Dubois is being evaluated. The left-shot center had one hit in 15:32 of ice time prior to exiting the contest. The 27-year-old Dubois should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's home matchup against Tampa Bay.

He remains in a second-line role and had a career year with 20 goals, 46 assists, 14 power-play points, 142 shots on net, 65 hits, 62 blocked shots, 76 PIM and a plus-27 rating over 82 appearances.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Adds power-play helper
Dubois produced a power-play assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Islanders.
Dubois' scoring pace has slowed late in the season -- he's now gone 14 games without a multi-point effort. In that span, he has six points, 22 shots on net, 11 hits, 26 PIM and a minus-3 rating. Dubois has still put together a career year in his first season with the Capitals, earning 20 goals, 45 assists, 142 shots on net, 65 hits, 61 blocked shots, 76 PIM and a plus-26 rating over 81 appearances. If he plays in the regular-season finale Thursday versus the Penguins, he will end up playing a full 82-game season for the fourth time in his career.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Sets career high in points
Dubois scored a power-play goal on four shots in Thursday's 5-4 shootout win over Carolina.
Dubois played the hero in Thursday's game by not only opening the scoring for the Capitals on a power play in the first period, but also by netting the game-winning goal in the shootout. His power-play tally marked a new career high in points and his 20th goal of the season. Overall, the 26-year-old center is up to 64 points in 78 appearances this season. He's now reached the 60-point mark four times and has 20 or more goals in five of his eight NHL seasons. His tally Thursday ended a three-game scoreless skid and could have him back on track to provide solid fantasy value in all formats for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Pots power-play goal
Dubois scored a power-play goal, tallied two shots on net and had six PIM in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Sabres.
Dubois found the back of the net for Washington's final goal of the game off a feed from Alex Ovechkin. With the power-play tally, Dubois is up to 19 goals, 62 points and 128 shots on net in 73 appearances this season. The 26-year-old center is nearing his career high of 63 points from the 2022-23 season. Not only is Dubois on pace to set a new career-best point total, but he is also within striking distance of reaching the 70-point mark for the first time in his career. He has been one of the pieces Washington has relied on to reach the 100-point mark as a team this season. Dubois should continue to provide good value in all fantasy formats while serving as the top-line center.

Capitals' Pierre-Luc Dubois: Clips Wings with game winner
Dubois scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-1 win over Detroit.
His goal stood as the winner. Dubois put the Caps up at 8:16 of the third period when he carried the biscuit into the offensive zone and wired a perfect wrist shot far side from the left dot. Dubois' resurrection in D.C. has him just three points from his career high-water mark of 63, which he set in 2022-23. And he's done it in only 68 games. A 70-plus point season is entirely possible.
