  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Beaten four times Saturday

Ullmark stopped 23 of 27 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Montreal. Ullmark has been tagged with the loss in regulation in only one of his last six appearances, but his fantasy output hasn't turned heads. He's posted a save percentage below the .900 mark in each of his previous three games. Over that six-game stretch, Ullmark has gone 3-1-2 with a 2.94 GAA and an .873 save percentage.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Facing Canadiens

Ullmark will be between the visiting pipes in Montreal on Saturday, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia. Ullmark has won three of his last four starts, boosting his record to 5-4-1 with a 3.37 GAA and an .863 save percentage across 10 starts this season. Montreal has averaged 3.64 goals per game this campaign, tying the team for fifth in the league.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Comes up big in shootout

Ullmark made 27 saves in regulation and overtime and turned aside both shootout attempts he faced in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Flames. The two teams traded goals through three periods, but two of Calgary's came on power plays, and Ullmark was able to stand tall when the game eventually got to a shootout. The veteran netminder has just one regulation loss in his last five starts, going 3-1-1, but after coughing up six goals in Chicago on Tuesday -- the third time already in 2025-26 he's been beaten five or more times -- Ullmark is saddled with a 3.37 GAA and .863 save percentage across 10 starts on the season.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gets starting nod Thursday

Ullmark will patrol the home crease versus Calgary on Thursday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. Ullmark is coming off a poor performance in Chicago on Tuesday in which he allowed six goals on 25 shots in a 7-3 loss. The 32-year-old netminder is 4-4-1 with a 3.44 GAA and an .858 save percentage across nine starts. The Flames are the lowest-scoring team in the NHL this season, averaging only 2.09 goals per game.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Beaten six times in blowout loss

Ullmark stopped 19 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to Chicago. The seventh goal was an empty-netter in the third period. Ullmark surrendered three goals in the first period, one in the second and two in the final frame before Frank Nazar's empty-netter at the 12:44 mark. Ullmark has given up at least six goals in a game two times this season, and it abruptly ended his three-game streak of allowing three or fewer tallies. The lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis has hurt Ullmark's upside, but his role as the Senators' No. 1 goaltender is not under any risk. In nine games, he's gone 4-4-1 with a 3.44 GAA and an .858 save percentage.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Set to start Tuesday

Ullmark is slated to start Tuesday's road game against Chicago, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. While Leevi Merilainen will draw the start at home against the Bruins on Monday, Ullmark will return to the net for the second half of the back-to-back set. Over his first eight starts of the season, Ullmark has gone 4-3-1 with a 3.11 GAA and .870 save percentage.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Allows one goal Saturday

Ullmark stopped 12 of 13 shots in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Capitals. The Capitals had their worst offensive performance of the season by a wide margin, meaning Ullmark didn't have a lot of work in this game. Even if he had been busy, the Senators' offense provided enough support after scoring seven goals. Ullmark has won his last two starts while stopping 34 of 36 shots. He'll aim to keep that positive run going against the Bruins on Monday, although it's uncertain if he'll get the start after being between the pipes in each of Ottawa's previous four contests.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Between pipes Saturday

Ullmark will patrol the visiting crease in Washington on Saturday, Julian McKenzie of The Athletic reports. Ullmark will make his eighth start in nine games for the Senators and is coming off a good performance Thursday, stopping 22 shots in a 2-1 win over Philadelphia. Ullmark is 3-3-1 with a 3.40 GAA and a mediocre .867 save percentage. The Capitals are averaging 3.25 goals per game, 12th in the NHL.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Sharp in third win

Ullmark turned aside 22 shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Flyers. Tyson Foerster beat Ullmark on the Flyers' first shot of the night, but the 32-year-old netminder slammed the door shut on the visitors the rest of the way. Ullmark has started seven of the Senators' first eight games, but his performance has been inconsistent, leaving him with a 3-3-1 record, 3.40 GAA and .867 save percentage. Leevi Merilainen coughed up seven goals in his only NHL start of the season so far, but the 23-year-old figures to encroach on Ullmark's workload a little more significantly if the veteran can't steady the ship.

Ullmark made 22 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers on Tuesday. The Sens played a strong team game, and Ullmark helped them earn a point. We hope this is the turning point for him -- he'd allowed 20 goals in his first five games. Overall, he's 2-3-1 with a 3.80 GAA and an .854 save percentage. Ullmark needs to be better.

Ullmark made 18 saves in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Islanders. Ullmark stopped 30 of 33 shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kraken. Ullmark bounced back from two losses in regulation to secure his second win of the season. The 32-year-old has been trending in the right direction of late. After allowing 10 goals in his first two outings of 2025-26, he's given up only five markers in the last two while posting a save percentage above .905 each time. Through four contests, Ullmark has gone 2-2-0 with a 3.72 GAA and an .862 save percentage.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gets little help in Monday's loss

Ullmark stopped 22 of 24 shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Predators, with Nashville's final two goals getting scored into an empty net. Both pucks to get past Ullmark came on defensive breakdowns by the Senators -- Jonathan Marchessault was left all alone down low to bang home the puck midway through the second period, before Ryan O'Reilly converted an odd-man rush late in the third to give the visitors a 2-0 lead. Ullmark has had a tough start to the 2025-26 season, going 1-2-0 in three starts while giving up 12 goals on just 76 shots. His fortunes aren't likely to improve much without a lot more help from Ottawa's skaters.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Tending twine Monday

Ullmark will patrol the home crease against Nashville on Monday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports. Ullmark will make his third straight start to begin the 2025-26 campaign. • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Mauled by Panthers

Ullmark stopped 21 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to Florida. The Senators never led in the game, as the Panthers struck twice in the first 10 minutes of the first period and never looked back. Ullmark has had a shaky beginning to the season despite a 1-1 record, giving up 10 goals on 52 shots, but road starts against the Lightning as well as the two-time defending Stanley Cup champs is about as tough a slate as a goalie could face. The 32-year-old's 2.72 GAA and .909 save percentage from 2024-25 offer a better reflection of his capabilities behind the Ottawa defense.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Between pipes Saturday

Ullmark will defend the road net against Florida on Saturday, according to TSN 1200 Ottawa. Ullmark will make his second straight start of the 2025-26 campaign after a 21-save effort in Thursday's 5-4 win over Tampa Bay. During the 2024-25 regular season, he stopped 74 of 79 shots en route to a 1-1-0 record versus the Panthers.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Nets Opening Night win

Ullmark made made 21 saves Thursday in a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay. His team roared back after going down 3-1, and Ullmark held the proverbial fort to earn the victory. Durability was an issue for Ullmark last season -- he played just 44 games. Leevi Merilainen kept the Sens in the hunt in December and January, and he will be counted on this year to keep Ullmark fresh for the postseason. It won't be a 50/50 split -- Ullmark is clearly the starter. However, keep an eye on how the two are deployed, as managing weekly lineups may prove to be a challenge at times based on the number of games each goaltender plays.

He will likely play 45-50 games this season, as the Senators are quite high on young goaltender Leevi Merilainen.
