Senators' Linus Ullmark: Gets no support in four-game sweep
Ullmark made 26 saves in a 4-2 loss to Carolina on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference First Round. He allowed just two goals.
The four-game sweep was not on Ullmark. Only two Senators managed to score goals -- Drake Batherson had three and Dylan Cozens had two. Total. Ullmark finished with a .932 save percentage. He is just the second goalie in NHL history to have a save percentage north of .930 and still get swept in a four-game series, according to ESPN's Blake Warye. Jonathan Quick (.947) suffered the same fate in the first round in 2018.

Ullmark will patrol the home crease against Carolina on Saturday in Game 4, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Despite losing all three games, Ullmark has been superb in the postseason. He has allowed only seven goals on 105 shots during that span. Ullmark has a 5-13 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 19 appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Needs help from his teammates
Ullmark made 25 saves in a 2-1 loss to Carolina in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round on Thursday.
Ullmark continues to do his part, but he needs his teammates to score. The Senators went 0-for-5 on the power play, putting up just four shots. They couldn't beat Frederik Andersen on a 5-on-3 opportunity for 1:28 in the second period. Ullmark remains winless this postseason, but he has looked every part the star he was in Boston. His 2.02 GAA and .933 save percentage showcase his talent. Game 4 is Saturday, and Ullmark will need to be stellar if the Senators are to extend this past four games, as the Hurricanes are up 3-0.

Ullmark will guard the home goal versus the Hurricanes on Thursday in Game 3, Graeme Nichols of The Hockey News reports.
Ullmark has allowed five goals on 78 shots (.936 save percentage) over the first two games of the series. The Senators will stick with him in a critical Game 3, with the hopes that home ice will help Ottawa turn things around.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Heartbreaking 2OT loss Monday
Ullmark made 43 saves Monday during the Senators' 3-2 double-overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of their first-round series.
After Carolina jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the second period, Ullmark allowed Ottawa to rally by shutting the door for the rest of regulation and then stayed sharp into extra time -- including a stop on a Jordan Martinook penalty shot in the first OT period -- before Martinook got his revenge in the game's 94th minute. Ullmark has allowed five goals on 75 shots to begin the playoffs, and he's not the reason the Senators head home for Game 3 on Thursday staring at a 2-0 series deficit.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Set to start in Game 2
Ullmark will patrol the road blue paint Monday versus the Hurricanes, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News.
Ullmark turned in a pretty solid effort in Saturday's Game 1 loss, stopping 27 of 29 shots, but the Senators weren't able to find the back of the net in a shutout loss. Game 2 won't be any easier for the Swedish netminder -- Ottawa will be without arguably its top shutdown defenseman in Artem Zub (undisclosed).

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Strong performance in Game 1 loss
Ullmark made 27 saves in Saturday's 2-0 loss against the Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round.
The first goal came on a relatively slow-moving shot that appeared to have been redirected in front of the net, allowing the puck to slip under Ullmark's left pad. The second goal came after the netminder froze on a save. The puck rolled off his shoulder and went in the net after it dropped behind Ullmark, and Taylor Hall poked it over the line. Ullmark is off to a strong start this postseason, but he will need his teammates to find twine.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Solid play has team in wild card
Ullmark made 28 saves in a 6-2 win over the Lightning on Tuesday.
The game was tight into the midpoint of the third when the Sens broke it open. Ullmark has won two straight and three in his last four games. He has allowed just six goals in those three wins. Ullmark has taken a lot of heat for poor play this season, but he's gone 12-4-3 in 19 games since his return from a month-long personal leave from Dec. 28 to Jan. 25. Ullmark's save percentage this season (.887) is below the league average (.896), but his 2.82 GAA is actually better than the league average (2.88). Ottawa is now two points ahead of the Blue Jackets for the second playoff wild card from the Eastern Conference.

Senators' Linus Ullmark: Earns win over Hurricanes
Ullmark stopped 25 of 28 shots in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Hurricanes.
Ullmark had started in the first leg of a back-to-back set Saturday, allowing four goals on 23 shots in a loss to the Wild, but he bounced back admirably Sunday. Ullmark has been slightly inconsistent on a game-to-game basis lately, going 3-2-1 with a 3.38 GAA and an .890 save percentage over his last six starts. That said, he's posted a save percentage of at least. 890 four times in that span, so for the most part, he's been serviceable while holding a steady role as the Senators' No. 1 goaltender.
