Ehlers produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over Washington.
The 29-year-old winger got Carolina on the board after the midway point of the second period before helping to set up Logan Stankoven for a tally late in the third that forced OT. Ehlers had a quiet first couple of weeks for his new club, but since Oct. 20, he hasn't gone more than two games in a row without getting onto the scoresheet, racking up seven goals and 21 points in 25 contests over that stretch.

Hurricanes' Nikolaj Ehlers: Pops for three points in win
Ehlers scored a power-play goal and added two assists in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Predators.
After he potted his sixth goal of the season in the first period, Ehlers set up Jackson Blake for tallies in the second and third. Ehlers converted on a pass from Taylor Hall at 2:52 of overtime for the game's only goal. The tally snapped Ehlers' six-game goal drought, though he still had three assists in that span. After a tough October, the 29-year-old winger got on track in November and is now at a total of five goals, 16 points, 61 shots on net and a plus-4 rating over 25 appearances.

He's been heating up after a slow start, with all five of his points coming in the last seven games, but the Hurricanes had him on the second line at even strength in Tuesday's contest due to a lineup shuffle. Ehlers has added 34 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 12 appearances -- given that shot volume, it's only a matter of time before his luck turns around.

Hurricanes' Nikolaj Ehlers: Gets on scoresheet with assist
Ehlers notched an assist, two shots on goal and four PIM in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Golden Knights.
Ehlers found the scoresheet for the first time as a Hurricane when he helped out on a Sebastian Aho goal in the second period. This game was a matchup between Ehlers and Mitch Marner, the two biggest names who were on the move during the offseason. In addition to the assist, Ehlers has 20 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through six appearances with Carolina, so he's still getting looks. As long as he continues to play alongside Aho and Seth Jarvis, he should be able to get his game on track, though there may still be some growing pains for Ehlers as he adjusts to his new team.
