Lee recorded an assist and put five shots on goal in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
With an apple on Simon Holmstrom's game-winning goal, Lee ended a three-game point drought to help send the Islanders home with their second consecutive win. Overall, the 35-year-old winger is up to seven assists, nine points, and 37 shots through 12 appearances this year. Lee has struggled to score goals this season with just one multi-goal game this year. However, his playmaking presence has been apparent as he leads the Islanders in assists. Once the shots he fires start to end up in the back of the net, Lee should have a case to be rostered in most fantasy leagues that value points. For now, he is a solid option that can consistently provide shots on goal.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Seven points in last three games
Lee put up a trio of assists Thursday in a 7-2 win over Detroit.
Lee has been on fire recently, logging seven points (two goals, five assists) in his past three appearances after going four games without a point to start the season. His shot total has increased significantly over his last three outings -- he has 15 in that span compared to eight in four matchups before that. Lee delivered 54 points last season, so the 35-year-old will be hopeful he can repeat that feat or exceed it this year, and he's off to a solid start.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Plays hero in three-point effort
Le scored two goals, one the game-winner, and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Senators.
With just over a minute left in regulation, the Islanders' captain won a battle for the puck with Jordan Spence in the offensive zone, spun around and tucked it home behind Linus Ullmark to break a 4-4 tie. The three-point performance marked the first points of the season for Lee, who got held off the scoresheet through New York's first four games. The 35-year-old is closing in on a big milestone -- he needs nine more goals to reach 300 for his career.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Expected back Thursday
Lee (upper body) is slated to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Flyers, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Lee was expected to miss between one and two weeks when he was initially hurt, so it appears his recovery went smoother than anticipated. His addition to the lineup Thursday should clear the way for him to resume his top-six role for Opening Night against the Penguins on Oct. 9. In addition to the first line, Lee should see plenty of minutes with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Sheds non-contact sweater
Lee (upper body), who has been ruled out for Monday's preseason game against the Rangers, was seen in a regular sweater during the Islanders' morning skate, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Lee has been dealing with an upper-body injury over the past few days that was expected to sideline him for 1-2 weeks. While it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to game action, the fact that he was able to shed his non-contact sweater Monday suggests that he's trending in the right direction. His status for the Islanders' Opening Night matchup against the Penguins on Oct. 9 hasn't yet been revealed, but it seems unlikely that the 35-year-old winger will be forced to miss much, if any, time to begin the regular season.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Facing 1-2 week absence
Lee is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with an upper-body injury, the Islanders announced Wednesday.
If Lee's injury lingers into the two-week range, he could be in danger of missing Opening Night against the Penguins on Oct. 9. The veteran winger has missed just one regular-season game over the past three seasons, including 2024-25 when he scored 29 goals on a career-high 233 shots. Still, given his offensive upside and role with the man advantage, Lee should be a top-end fantasy target heading into the 2025-26 campaign.

Lee had a goal and an assist in a Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Philadelphia.
It was Lee's 29th snipe of the season. That's remarkable for a winger many had written off as too slow and old to succeed. It's Lee's third-highest season goal total of his career and the most since 2017-18 (40). It's also the second-highest point total (54) of his career. Lee turns 35 in July, and his value will drop soon enough. In the meantime, he's making a late-season run with four points (two goals, two assists) across his last four games. He might help if you're still trying to stack points over the next few days.

Islanders' Anders Lee: Gets closer to 30-goal mark
Lee found the back of the net on his only shot and went plus-1 in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime loss to Nashville.
Lee was credited with his 28th goal of the season after Adam Pelech fired a slap shot that caromed off Bo Horvat and Lee before finding its way into the net. The 34-year-old Lee needs just two goals to reach 30 for the third time in his career, a feat he hasn't achieved since 2017-18 when he potted 40. The Islanders have five games remaining on their schedule, so Lee has an opportunity to get there. New York's captain has accumulated 28 goals, 52 points and a plus-9 rating over 77 appearances in 2024-25.

Lee notched the primary helper on Kyle Palmieri's even-strength marker at 11:07 of the final frame to cut the lead to 4-3. Lee was held off the scoresheet in four consecutive games prior to Friday. While the 34-year-old had struggled to live up to his seven-year, $49 million contract in previous years, he's taken his game to another level and has been one of New York's most consistent players in 2024-25. The left-shot winger is on pace for around 61 points, which would be one shy of his career-high set in 2017-18. Lee is at 22 goals, 40 points and a plus-17 rating through 54 outings this season.
