Canucks' Evander Kane: Two helpers against Panthers
Kane picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Monday's 8-5 loss to Florida.
The veteran winger helped set up tallies by Elias Pettersson and Filip Hronek as the Canucks tried to rally from a 5-2 deficit, but they couldn't do any better than tying it up before the Panthers roared back in the third period. It was Kane's first multi-point performance since Nov. 3, and on the season, he's collected three goals and 11 points in 21 games while adding 61 shots on net, 40 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-4 rating.

He's scored three goals over his last two outings, and that's come with a move up to the top line that should benefit his production for as long as he stays there. Canucks' Evander Kane: Opens goal account for 2025-26
Kane scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Predators.
The veteran winger had been stuck in a 13-game goal drought to begin the season, but Kane finally got rolling Monday when his one-timer late in the first period deflected off a Nashville stick and got past Juuse Saros. Kane then gave the Canucks a 4-2 lead early in the third period when he banged home a rebound. He's been able to stay fairly productive despite the lack of puck luck, however, and he's collected seven points, 34 shots on net, 30 hits, 28 PIM, nine blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 14 contests.

Kane has earned two assists over four games with the Canucks. He was traded from the Oilers in June in a salary dump, but Kane has carved out a middle-six role with his new team. He's added 15 hits, nine shots on net, four PIM and a plus-1 rating. At his best, he's an effective power winger with the potential for 40-50 points, but he's not quite at that level early in 2025-26.

Canucks' Evander Kane: Traded to hometown team
Kane was dealt from Edmonton to Vancouver on Wednesday in exchange for a fourth-round pick, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
Kane was born in Vancouver and spent his WHL days with the Vancouver Giants, so this trade will allow him to play for his hometown team. He missed the 2024-25 regular season because of hip and knee injuries, but he recorded six goals, 12 points, 44 PIM and 95 hits in 21 playoff appearances with Edmonton in 2025. When healthy, Kane can be a helpful forward to slot into a middle-six role thanks to his blend of scoring and physicality. He recorded at least 20 goals in eight of nine regular seasons from 2015-16 through 2023-24 and also surpassed the 100-hit mark on eight occasions over that stretch. Edmonton isn't retaining any salary, so Vancouver will be responsible for his full $5.125 million cap hit. The 33-year-old can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2026.
