Kings' Drew Doughty: Headed for IR
Doughty (lower body) will be shifted to injured reserve Wednesday, Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty reports.
Considering Doughty is considered week-to-week, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see him land on injured reserve. The team hasn't provided a clear recovery timeline, but it seems unlikely he'll be back before the end of November. While the 35-year-old Ontario native is mired in a five-game goal drought, he did chip in three assists over that stretch and managed just four shots.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Labeled week-to-week
Doughty (lower body) is considered week-to-week, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports Monday.
Doughty's injury is unrelated to last season's ankle problem, but it will still sideline him for a little while. Considering the 35-year-old defenseman's recovery timeline, fantasy managers can likely expect him to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days. Look for Brandt Clarke to see an uptick in ice time with Doughty on the shelf.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Sustains lower-body injury
Doughty (lower body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Senators.
Doughty was injured after blocking a shot in the second period. The 35-year-old defenseman's absence would be a big one if he's forced to miss additional time, especially with the Kings still on the road for two more games. If he's unavailable Monday against the Capitals, Jacob Moverare will likely take his place in the lineup.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Moves up franchise scoring list
Doughty picked up two assists Thursday in a 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.
The grizzled veteran has had a slow start to the season and has just eight points, including six assists, in 18 games. Half of those points have come in his last five games. It was Doughty's 133rd career multipoint game. He passed Charlie Simmer for the ninth most in Kings history.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Fills empty cage
Doughty scored an empty-net goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Jets.
Doughty's two goals this season have come over the last four games. The 35-year-old defenseman is up to five points, 20 shots on net, 20 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-5 rating through 14 appearances. He can reach a higher pace, but age could be a concern if his offense doesn't get on track soon. Doughty still offers upside with his all-around production, and he remains in a significant role as the Kings' top blueliner.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Nets first goal of season
Doughty scored a goal, blocked four shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Sharks.
Doughty ended a six-game slump with his second-period tally. The 35-year-old defenseman is up to four points, 15 shots on net, seven hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across 11 appearances. He likely won't hit as much as he did earlier in his career, but he can still be a steady source of blocks. The big question is what level of offense he'll ultimately provide -- he had at least 50 points in his last two healthy seasons, but he's well off that pace early in 2025-26.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Sends helper in loss
Doughty logged an assist, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Doughty put up four points, 10 shots on net, 12 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over six playoff appearances. The 35-year-old defenseman's 2024-25 campaign was derailed by a broken ankle sustained in the preseason, which limited him to a total of 36 appearances between the regular season and playoffs. He was never really 100 percent this season and still did better than a point every other game, so an offseason of rest and recovery should benefit Doughty heading into 2025-26.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Earns two points in loss
Doughty scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist and went minus-3 in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Oilers in Game 3.
Doughty gave the Kings their first lead of the game at 15:07 of the second period. The defenseman is up to three points, seven shots on net, four blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over three playoff outings. Doughty is handling a large role well, which is especially helpful for the Kings since young blueliners Brandt Clarke and Jordan Spence don't appear to be trusted with significant minutes yet in this playoff run.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Pockets assist in Game 1 win
Doughty logged an assist, three blocked shots and two PIM in Monday's 6-5 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
Doughty was limited to two appearances over the final six games of the regular season and went without a point in both of those contests. While Monday's series opener wasn't a banner night for defense, Doughty was able to chip in on offense by setting up Quinton Byfield's first-period tally. Doughty was effective when healthy in 2024-25, earning 17 points, a plus-9 rating, 45 blocked shots and 46 shots on net over 30 regular-season appearances. However, he is still managing his ankle, which he broke prior to the regular season, and he could end up out of the lineup if the issue flares up too much in the playoffs.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Back in lineup Thursday
Doughty (rest) is set to draw back into the lineup for Thursday's clash against Calgary, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
Doughty took Tuesday's 6-5 win over Seattle off so that he could stay rested for the playoffs. He has four goals and 17 points in 29 appearances in 2024-25. Doughty is projected to play alongside Mikey Anderson versus the Flames.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Expected to sit Thursday
Doughty (rest) is slated to miss Thursday's game versus Calgary, per John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio.
Doughty has played only once over the last five games, and he's facing another absence to close out the regular season. Doughty has four goals, 13 assists, 44 shots on goal and 45 blocked shots across 29 games this season. He should be back in action for Game 1 versus Edmonton on Monday.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Sitting out Tuesday
Doughty will not play Tuesday versus the Kraken, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
Doughty continues to manage his ankle injury, but considering he played Monday, this is simply rest for a veteran ahead of the postseason. Mikey Anderson will also sit out, so Caleb Jones and Kyle Burroughs will both be in the lineup Thursday.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Returning against Oilers
Doughty (ankle) will be in the lineup for Monday's game versus Edmonton, Patrick O'Neal of Bally Sports West reports.
Doughty returns following a three-game stint on the shelf due to his ankle problem. Despite being limited to just 28 games this season, the veteran blueliner has already notched 17 points and could still reach the 20-point threshold -- a mark he's hit in every one of his previous 16 NHL campaigns.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Not ready to return
Doughty (ankle) will miss Saturday's clash against Colorado, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
It will be the Kings' third straight game without Doughty, who is dealing with a recurrence of the ankle problem that cost him the first 47 games of the season. The 35-year-old defenseman has four goals and 17 points in 28 outings in 2024-25. His next chance to return will come Monday in Edmonton.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Still out Thursday
Doughty (ankle) won't suit up against the Ducks on Thursday, Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty reports.
Doughty will be shelved for the second straight game due to the recurrence of his ankle problem that sidelined him for the early half of the season. Prior to his recent stint on the shelf, the veteran blueliner racked up a goal and four assists over his last four contests.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Given maintenance day
Doughty (ankle) will not play Monday versus the Kraken, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.
The Kings are already a lock for the playoffs, so they'll give Doughty a maintenance day Monday against an inferior opponent. His absence comes at an unfortunate time for fantasy managers, though, as Doughty generated a goal and four assists over his last four games. Brandt Clarke might quarterback the No. 1 power-play unit against Seattle in place of Doughty. Los Angeles' next game is Thursday versus Anaheim.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Status uncertain for Monday
Doughty missed the end of Saturday's game against the Oilers as a precautionary measure due to his ankle injury, but his status for Monday's game against Seattle is up in the air, Dennis Bernstein of The Fourth Period reports.
Doughty missed the start of the 2024-25 season due to an ankle injury, and head coach Jim Hiller said Sunday that the 35-year-old won't be 100 percent healthy before the end of the regular season. However, Doughty has been on a hot streak lately, posting a goal, four assists, six hits, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-6 rating over his last four appearances. If he's unable to play against the Kraken, Jacob Moverare or Kyle Burroughs will likely enter the lineup.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Collects two more points
Doughty scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added an assist, went plus-3 and logged two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over Utah.
Doughty earned his second multi-point effort in the last three games. The defenseman helped out on Adrian Kempe's second-period tally before scoring on a long-range flip into an empty net. Doughty is up to 16 points, 40 shots on net, 25 hits, 42 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating across 27 appearances. He'd be on pace for roughly 48 points over the full 82 games had he not lost significant time to a broken ankle at the start of the year. That's production in line with each of his last two campaigns.

Kings' Drew Doughty: Garners pair of assists
Doughty registered two assists, two shots on goal and two PIM in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Sharks.

He was able to play in every contest in March, logging two goals and eight assists, as well as 23 shots on net and 26 blocked shots, over 16 appearances.
