Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Scores TD on opening drive
Ali took nine carries for 36 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 30-3 preseason win over Washington.
The 2024 fifth-round pick solidified his argument for the No. 4 RB role, starting the final preseason game and hitting paydirt from nine yards out on the opening drive. D'Ernest Johnson also got snaps on the first drive and then scored a TD on the second series, but Ali remains the favorite to stick around for one of Baltimore's final few roster spots. Fellow RBs Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell were among the dozens of Ravens rested Saturday, with coach John Harbaugh mostly using the game to evaluate the bottom of his roster. Harbaugh said in mid-August that the Ravens intend to keep a fourth RB (presumably Ali) on their initial regular-season roster.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: In line to make roster
Ali rushed the ball 19 times for 62 yards in Saturday's 31-13 preseason win over the Cowboys. He added one reception on two targets for 10 yards.
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during the Ravens' first preseason contest but was able to return Saturday. He drew the start with Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) all sitting and led the team with 19 carries. Most importantly, coach John Harbaugh said following the contest that the team would carry four running backs into the regular season, meaning Ali is very likely to make the roster, per Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Dealing with injury
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Colts, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Ali picked up 37 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in the contest, but he worked in behind Keaton Mitchell. That suggests he currently sits fourth on the running back depth chart in Baltimore, placing him on the roster bubble. The nature of the injury is unclear, but head coach John Harbaugh suggested the Ravens may need to add depth at running back, hinting at the possibility of Ali missing additional time.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Rotates in behind Keaton Mitchell
Ali took nine carries for 37 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
The stat line looks good, but Keaton Mitchell got the start and put up a 9-68-1 rushing line, taking five carries to Ali's one over the first two drives while second-string QB Cooper Rush was still in the game. Ali then got more work with the third unit, reinforcing the notion that he's stuck behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Mitchell on Baltimore's depth chart. The Ravens may still try to keep Ali around, either on the roster or practice squad, considering Mitchell and Hill both weigh less than 200 pounds.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Won't play in divisional round
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's divisional-round contest versus the Bills.
Ali was also inactive for last week's wild-card win against the Steelers, and it looks like the Ravens will once again roll with the three-man backfield of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell in the divisional round. Ali, a rookie fifth-round pick out of Marshall, hasn't seen much playing time this season, recording 10 carries for 31 yards across six regular-season appearances.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Not suiting up Saturday
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's wild-card game against the Steelers.
The Ravens will go with a three-man backfield of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell for Saturday's playoff game, which means Ali will observe the contest in street clothes. He would have a chance to suit up for the AFC's divisional round should the Ravens advance.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Logs full practice Wednesday
Ali (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Ali suffered a hip injury during the Ravens' Christmas Day win over the Texans. Given his ability to practice in full Wednesday after logging a limited session Tuesday, the rookie fifth-round pick is trending toward being available for Saturday's regular-season finale against the Browns.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Logs limited practice Tuesday
Ali (hip) was a limited practice participant Tuesday.
Ali exited early from last Wednesday's Week 17 game due to a hip issue, but he was able to get on the field to practice (albeit in a limited fashion) during Baltimore's first session this week. The rookie running back's level of participation Wednesday and Thursday should shed more light on his likelihood of being able to suit up against the Browns on Saturday. Meanwhile, fellow backup ball carrier Justice Hill (concussion/illness) didn't practice at all Tuesday.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Out due to hip injury
Ali won't return to Wednesday's game at Houston due to a hip injury.
With Justice Hill (concussion) sidelined Wednesday, Ali got the first running-back touch that didn't go to starter Derrick Henry, but that carry went for minus-3 yards. Ali's only other contribution prior to exiting with the hip injury was a 23-yard return on the opening kickoff. Ali will have plenty of time to recover for the Ravens' regular-season finale, which will fall either Jan. 4 or 5 against the Browns.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Missing Week 12
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's matchup against the Chargers.
The rookie from Marshall will be a healthy scratch for the second consecutive game Monday night. Baltimore's running back room will now consist of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell in Week 13.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Inactive for Week 11
Ali (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Off injury report
Ali (ankle) was absent from the Ravens' injury report Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Ali was sidelined for Baltimore's past four games due to an ankle injury; however, his omission from Wednesday's injury report suggests he's moved past the issue. The rookie from Marshall has appeared in just one game this season, failing to record a stat across nine special-teams snaps. He's expected to serve as the Ravens' No. 4 running back as the season progresses, playing behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell.

Ravens' Rasheen Ali: Not suiting up Thursday
Ali (ankle) is inactive for Thursday's Week 10 contest against Cincinnati.
Ali was able to practice in full both Tuesday and Wednesday, but he isn't going to take the field on Thursday Night Football. The rookie's inactive status coincides with the season debut of fellow running back Keaton Mitchell, who was activated off the reserve/PUP list Thursday following a long layoff as a result of tearing the ACL in his left knee last December. With Mitchell officially back in the fold, Ali could have a hard time seeing game action on offense moving forward.
