Ravens' Tyler Huntley: Replaces Rush in loss
Huntley completed 10 of 15 passes for 68 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 17-3 loss to the Rams. He added three rushes for 39 yards.
Huntley took over for the benched Cooper Rush early in the fourth quarter and led a pair of lengthy drives, each of which stalled deep in Rams territory. While he was far from efficient, Huntley took care of the ball and also showcased some mobility, both of which could give him an advantage to serve as Lamar Jackson's (hamstring) backup in Week 8.

Tyler Huntley: Lands on Baltimore's practice squad
The Ravens are signing Huntley to the practice squad Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Huntley was cut by Cleveland on Sunday and now returns to a familiar situation as an emergency quarterback for the Ravens, for whom he handled a depth role from 2020-2023. Cooper Rush has operated as the top backup to Lamar Jackson throughout the offseason, but Huntley competing for that role as the season progresses wouldn't be inconceivable.

Tyler Huntley: Cut loose by Browns
Huntley was let go by Cleveland on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Huntley is the odd man out in the Browns' crowded QB room. The 27-year-old backup landed with Cleveland in early August as the team sorted through its options at signal-callers this preseason, joining at a time when both Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel were sidelined by injuries. Huntley then filled in as the backup quarterback during two preseason games -- once behind Gabriel and once more behind fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. Joe Flacco since has been named Cleveland's starting QB, and, while the No. 2 quarterback spot still is up in the air, this job likely will go to either Pickett or Gabriel. Huntley has extensive experience as a backup quarterback who's filled in for injured starters over the past few years, including his time in Baltimore from 2021-2023 and in Miami last season. He'll look to catch on in a similar role elsewhere ahead of the 2025 campaign.
