Brisker (quadriceps) was a full participant in Friday's practice.

The Penn State product didn't practice Thursday due to a quad injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Brisker recorded five tackles (four solo) during Monday's 27-24 loss versus Minnesota.

Brisker will probably have better days in the stat sheet this season, but his line was solid considering the Vikings only ran 49 snaps on offense in Week 1. He figures to see a healthy number of opportunities to stop the run when the Bears travel to take on Detroit in Week 2.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Taking part in OTAs

Brisker (concussion) has been participating in Bears' OTAs this week, Scott Bair of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Brisker missed a total of 12 contests last season due to concussion issues, but he appears to be back to full health, as Bair noted Brisker was flying around and "talking serious trash" at Wednesday's practice. Getting Brisker back to his normal self will be a big boost to Chicago's defense.

  • Bears' Jaquan Brisker: Expected to contribute in 2025

Bears general manager Ryan Poles said Tuesday he expects Brisker (concussion) to play for Chicago and contribute during the 2025 campaign, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Poles said Brisker and offensive lineman Ryan Bates (concussion), both of whom ended the 2024 regular season on IR, are "feeling back to themselves," per Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. A 2022 second-round pick, Brisker missed 12 games in 2024 due to a concussion. The Bears will undoubtedly prioritize Brisker's health above all other concerns, but it appears the safety is expected to play a role on defense in the 2025 season, in which he'll be playing on the final year of his rookie contract.
