Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Career-high 10 tackles in loss
Hickman logged 10 tackles (six solo) during the Browns' 21-17 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Hickman played every defensive snap and reached double-digit tackles for the first time in his three-year NFL career, and he finished second on the Browns in tackles behind Carson Schwesinger (11). Hickman is up to 32 tackles (19 solo) and one pass defense through the first five games of the regular season.

Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Leads team in tackles
Hickman recorded nine tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage, in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Lions in Week 4.
That was a career-high number of tackles for Hickman who topped the Browns and has 22 stops through the first four weeks. The 2023 undrafted free agent is poised to blow past the 45 tackles he recorded last season. Hickman has played every defensive snap in 2025 while also working on special teams and should reach new playing-time levels by midseason if healthy.

Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Makes 45 stops in 2024
Hickman tallied 45 tackles (26 solo), one pass breakup and one fumble recovery across 14 regular-season appearances with the Browns in 2024.
Hickman missed three games due to injury but overall impressed in Year 2, increasing his production across the board compared to his rookie season. During the offseason, it's possible he gets a chance to truly compete with Juan Thornhill and/or Grant Delpit for a starting gig at safety. Hickman is entering the final year of his contract with the Browns, though he'll be a restricted free agent in 2026.

Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Ready to rock
Hickman (ankle) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The 23-year-old upgraded from limited participation Wednesday and Thursday to a full practice Friday, indicating that he's moved past his ankle issue in time for Sunday's contest. With Hickman back at full health, he's expected to serve as the Browns' top backup safety behind both Juan Thornhill and Grant Delpit.

Hickman (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday's injury report, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Hickman has been sidelined for the Browns' last three games after suffering an ankle injury in Week 5 against the Commanders. He's trending in the right direction by practicing Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- and his practice participation over the next two days will indicate whether he'll be able to suit up against the Chargers on Sunday. Over the first five games of the regular season, Hickman logged 17 tackles (16 solo), one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.

Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Logs DNP on Wednesday
Hickman (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Hickman seemingly sustained this ankle injury during the Browns' Week 5 loss to the Commanders, as he recorded three total tackles on just 15 snaps (13 defensive and two on special teams), his lowest snap-count of the season. Browns' Ronnie Hickman: Nabs pick-six for first career INT
Hickman posted four tackles (three solo) and returned in an interception for a touchdown in Thursday's 37-20 Week 17 win against the Jets.
Hickman rarely played over the first 13 weeks of the campaign, but with Grant Delpit (groin) and Rodney McLeod (biceps) both on injured reserve, the rookie safety has seen his workload increase dramatically. Hickman enjoyed the finest moment of his first season on Thursday Night Football, picking off a Trevor Siemian pass and returning it for a 30-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The pick-six was the first interception and first touchdown of Hickman's career.
