Williams finished with seven tackles (three solo) and two pass breakups in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals.
The outside linebacker missed the previous four games with a shoulder injury. Williams is up to 22 tackles (11 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and four passes defensed on the season. He's played most of the defensive snaps this season when available, and that shouldn't change after the Jets' Week 9 bye.

Williams (shoulder) was designated to return from the injured reserve list Wednesday.
The Murray State product has been sidelined for the Jets' last four games after sustaining a shoulder injury during the Week 3 loss to the Buccaneers. However, his practice window opened Wednesday, and he now has 21 days to be added to the team's active roster before reverting to IR. Williams is an integral part of the Jets' defense, recording 116 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, four passes defended and four forced fumbles over 17 games in 2024. When fully healthy, he's expected to operate as one of the Jets' top linebackers.

The Jets placed Williams (shoulder) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Williams suffered a shoulder injury during the first half of Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Buccaneers, finishing the game with four tackles (three solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defense. He'll be required to miss at least the next four games, which makes Week 8 against the Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 26 the earliest he can return. With Williams and Marcelino McCrary-Ball (hamstring) both on injured reserve, the Jets will turn to Mark Robinson, Cam Jones and rookie fifth-rounder Francisco Mauigoa to serve at outside linebacker with the first-team defense.
