Dolphins' Greg Dulcich: Reps capped in Wednesday's practice
Dulcich was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Dulcich is making his first appearance of the season on Miami's injury report, but as long as he's able to practice fully by the end of the week, he should be ready to suit up Sunday against the Patriots. The fifth-year tight end turned in his best game of the season in the Dolphins' 28-25 win over the Jets in Week 7, recording five catches for 86 yards on five targets.

Dulcich caught all five of his targets for 86 yards in Sunday's 28-25 win over the Jets.
Dulcich led the Dolphins in catches, receiving yards and targets as Miami notched its first win of the season. The 2022 third-round pick of the Broncos is still searching for his first touchdown of the season after scoring once in 10 games for the Dolphins in 2025. Dulcich is likely to remain a key target for Malik Willis in Week 8 against the Patriots.

Dulcich caught four of five targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Bengals.
Dulcich finished second on the team in catches and his five targets were third most for Miami. The tight end rebounded nicely after failing to garner a target over 20 offensive snaps in Week 4 against Minnesota's tough defense, and he has now caught 13 of 17 targets for 127 yards over five contests this season.

Dulcich and Malik Willis connected on five catches on seven targets for 55 yards against the Chiefs in Week 3, but the duo failed to link up with each other during Sunday's loss. It was the first time since Week 8 of the 2025 season that Dulcich failed to record a target, and perhaps more notably, his 20 offensive snaps were behind rookie third-round tight end Will Kacmarek's 24. Dulcich is getting the opportunity to work as Miami's No. 1 tight end, and he could gain some fantasy traction as Malik Willis' primary safety valve as the season progresses.

Dulcich played a total of 15 offensive snaps across those two games before sitting for the Dolphins' preseason finale against the Falcons on Friday. Entering his sixth NFL season, the UCLA product has an opportunity to be a featured part in the Dolphins' offense due to the lack of notable skill position players outside of running back De'Von Achane. The veteran tight end also demonstrated a strong rapport with quarterback Malik Willis in training camp, setting up Dulcich to be a go-to target in the passing game for the upcoming season. Dulcich had been in a red non-contact jersey at practice last week but appears to be past his hand issue. The 26-year-old is slated to handle TE1 duties for the Dolphins this season after he caught 26 passes for 335 yards and one touchdown over the final nine games last regular season. A catch-first athlete at the position, there's a world in which Dulcich paces this offense in receiving in 2026 due to the lack of proven playmaking at the wide receiver position.

Dulcich hasn't been cleared for taking contact yet, but it's encouraging to see him participating in practice to some extent after being labeled day-to-day Tuesday. Once healthy, Dulcich is expected to operate as the top receiving tight end in a new-look Dolphins offense that lacks an established pecking order among its pass catchers.

Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley suggested that Dulich could return for next week's joint practices with the Commanders. It thus sounds like the tight end will miss the rest of this week, but he's still well on his way to a role as Miami's top pass catcher at his position. Dulcich does have a worrisome history of hamstring injuries, so it'll be worth a closer look if the current problem turns out to be related. For now, the Dolphins consider him day-to-day.
