Cowboys' Derion Kendrick: Inks one-year deal in Dallas
Kendrick signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Kendrick kicked off the 2025 campaign handling a depth role with Seattle, but he was waived after 10 regular-season appearances and then claimed by the Rams, playing five more games. The cornerback and special-teamer will compete for a reserve gig in Dallas.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Claimed by LAR
Kendrick was claimed off waivers by the Rams on Wednesday.
Kendrick was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, and he has quickly found a new home in Los Angeles. The cornerback has compiled seven total tackles (four solo) and five passes defensed, including two interceptions, over 10 contests with Seattle this year. He'll provide the Rams with an additional depth option behind Emmanuel Forbes, Cobie Durant and Josh Wallace in the secondary.

Derion Kendrick: Let go by Seattle
Kendrick was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Kendrick began the season with a significant role in the Seattle secondary, primarily due to injuries. He was limited mostly to a special-teams role of late, logging only four total defensive snaps across the Seahawks' last five games.

Seahawks' Derion Kendrick: Notches another pick
Kendrick recorded four tackles (two solo), three pass breakups and an interception in Sunday's 44-13 win over the Saints.
Kendrick has started the last two games with Devon Witherspoon (knee) inactive, and he has an interception in each of those games. Kendrick has starting experience from his days playing for the Rams, but an ACL tear wiped out his 2024 season before he was let go by the team this August. There's a good chance he starts again in Thursday's matchup versus the Cardinals.

Seahawks' Derion Kendrick: Headed to Seattle
Kendrick was claimed off waivers by the Seahawks on Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.
Kendrick will head to Seattle after being waived by the Rams on Tuesday. The cornerback recorded five total tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed over three preseason contests with Los Angeles, and he will now operate as a top reserve option in the Seahawks' secondary behind starters Riq Woolen and Josh Jobe in 2025.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Brought back by Rams
Los Angeles signed Kendrick to a contract Tuesday.
The Rams recently waived Kendrick on Friday, but it appears the team always intended to reunite with the 2022 sixth-round pick. Kendrick missed the entire 2024 campaign due to a torn ACL but had been participating in OTAs and was waived without an injury designation, indicating that he's fully healthy. He started 12 of 17 regular-season appearances in 2023 and will now compete with Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon to regain a key role at cornerback.

Derion Kendrick: Let go by Los Angeles
The Rams waived Kendrick on Friday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
Kendrick suffered a torn ACL last July and missed the entire season. However, he had been participating in OTAs prior to being waived and wasn't given an injury designation, so Kendrick is presumably healthy again. The Georgia product had been a prominent part of the Rams' defense prior to getting hurt, as he started 12 of the team's 17 games in 2023. For the time being, Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon appear to be Los Angeles' top outside cornerbacks.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Participating in OTAs
Kendrick (knee) has been taking part in the Rams' offseason training activities.
Kendrick tore his ACL last July and missed the entire campaign. He had been slated for a prominent role after totaling 49 tackles and 10 defensed passes, including one interception, while playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2023. If Kendrick is able to fully return from the injury, he could again be in line for a significant role, though Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon may be ahead of him on the cornerback depth chart.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Officially goes on IR
The Rams placed Kendrick (knee) on their injured reserve list Friday.
Kendrick tore his ACL on Thursday, so the procedural transaction doesn't come as a surprise. The 2022 sixth-rounder had a promising second season as a pro last year and was in line for a significant role in the upcoming campaign, but now he doesn't figure to return to the field until 2025.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Torn ACL confirmed
Coach Sean McVay confirmed that Kendrick suffered a torn ACL on Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick suffered the injury during practice Wednesday and the team suspected that he tore his ACL. With that news confirmed, he'll miss the entire 2024 season and leave a significant hole in the Rams' secondary. Los Angeles added Tre'Davious White and Darious Williams (hamstring) this offseason to bolster the unit, but White has suffered significant knee and Achilles injuries across the last few seasons.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: May have suffered ACL tear
Kendrick injured his knee Wednesday and is feared to have suffered an ACL tear, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Kendrick started six of his 15 games in 2022 and 12 of 17 in 2023, logging 1,341 defensive snaps across two seasons after the Rams took him in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. This will be a significant loss for the team's defense if testing confirms initial fears, even though the Rams signed CBs Darious Williams and Tre'Davious White this offseason. Williams already seemed locked in as a starter, while White is more of an unknown after suffering an ACL tear in 2021 and an Achilles' rupture in 2023 with the Bills. Apart from those two, Kendrick and slot corner Cobie Durant, the Rams don't have experienced starters or early draft picks in their cornerback room.
