Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Leaves with knee injury
Stewart left Sunday's loss to the Bears with a knee injury, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Prior to the injury, Stewart had three tackles and one QB hit. The Bengals' first-round pick is still looking for his first NFL sack through Week 9, having missed four games due to injury. He was considered a developmental prospect coming out of Texas A&M, but even accounting for that learning curve, he has been a big disappointment.

The 2025 first-round pick from Texas A&M managed to practice in a limited capacity throughout the week but is still expected to miss Sunday's contest. Stewart, who's already been sidelined for three consecutive games, has tallied two total tackles across 66 defensive snaps this season. Myles Murphy is expected to continue operating as the Bengals' top reserve defensive end while Stewart likely remains out in Week 6.

Stewart (ankle) was a limited participant in Cincinnati's practice Wednesday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Stewart, sidelined for the past three weeks, managed to return to practice Wednesday, albeit in a limited capacity. If the rookie first-round pick is able to practice again Thursday and Friday, he should be in good shape to play in Sunday's matchup versus the Packers.
