  • Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Out remainder of camp

Brown (leg) will miss the rest of training camp, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports. Brown suffered a lower-leg injury and is not expected to be back during training camp, head coach Liam Coen announced Monday. The 25-year-old had the most productive season of his career in 2024, appearing in all 17 regular-season games while drawing 10 starts and recording his first career interception. It is still unclear whether this injury will linger into the regular season, but it will impact Brown's opportunities for the time being since he was competing for a starting role in Jacksonville's secondary.

  • Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Puts forth career year

Brown recorded 75 tackles (55 solo) across 17 regular-season appearances with the Jaguars in 2024. He also had eight passes defensed and one interception. Brown more than doubled his production totals from 2023, and he played 90-plus percent of Jacksonville's defensive snaps in seven of the 17 contests he appeared in. The 2022 seventh-round pick will work to take another step forward heading into the final year of his rookie deal with the Jaguars.

  • Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Jags' leading tackler in loss

Brown recorded 11 tackles (all solo) during Sunday's 18-13 loss versus the Browns. Brown led Jacksonville's corners in snaps in Week 2, and he reached the double-digit mark in tackles in a game for the first time in his career. He might not get so many opportunities in Week 3 at Buffalo though, so he's still not on the IDP radar in most formats.

  • Montaric Brown: Nabbed by Jags in seventh round

The Jaguars selected Brown in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 222nd overall. Brown was the first pick of the seventh round. An Arkansas product, Brown checks in at 6-foot with 4.55 speed. He was productive in the Razorbacks secondary with 11 pass breakups and five picks as a fifth-year senior. Brown lacks standout tools but he's experienced and battle-tested from his days in the SEC and has a chance to make the roster.
