  • Bengals' Jaxson Kirkland: Staying in Cincy

Kirkland signed a one-year extension with the Bengals on Wednesday.

Kirkland has appeared in just two NFL games since going undrafted out of Washington in 2023. The 26-year-old saw sparse playing time in 2024, logging 13 total snaps (three on offense, 10 on special teams). He'll likely be in line to fill a depth role along Cincinnati's offensive line in 2025.

  • Bengals' Jaxson Kirkland: Moves to IR

Kirkland (biceps) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Kirkland suffered a torn bicep in Sunday's loss to the Ravens and was not expected to return this season. His move to IR will at least guarantee he'll miss the team's next four games, although he'll likely stay on the shelf until offseason programs begin in 2025.

  • Bengals' Jaxson Kirkland: Unlikely to return this season

Kirkland suffered a torn bicep in Sunday's loss to the Ravens and is expected to miss the rest of the season, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Kirkland has seen limited action this year, operating as a depth option on the offensive line and seeing work on special teams. His absence moving ahead will likely create an opportunity for a practice-squad elevation or free-agent signing, while Kirkland will likely be placed on IR in the near future.

  • Bengals' Jaxson Kirkland: Signs reserve/future contract

Kirkland signed a reserve/future contract with the Bengals on Monday.

The offensive guard is healthy again after being placed on the practice squad injured list with a wrist issue Nov. 20. Kirkland signed with Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent in the spring and earned a spot on the practice squad Aug. 30, but he was never elevated to the active roster in 2023.

  • Jaxson Kirkland: Dealing with injury

Cincinnati placed Kirkland on its practice squad injured list Monday with a wrist injury.

Kirkland signed with Cincinnati this spring as an undrafted free agent out of Washington, but he was unable to make the team's 53-man roster out of training camp. However, he was able to earn a spot on the team's practice squad, where he's remained since Aug. 30. After being placed on the injured list, he won't be eligible for elevation to the active roster for any of Cincinnati's next four games.
