The Buccaneers waived Avery on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Avery will head to waivers despite having just signed with the team on Friday. The 28-year-old will now look to find a new opportunity with another team after having spent the 2024 season with the Titans, where he recorded three tackles (three solo) across nine games, seeing most of his playing time on special teams.

Patriots' Tre Avery: Claimed by Pats
New England claimed Avery off waivers Tuesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
After being waived by San Francisco, Avery is now getting a shot to make an impression with the Patriots. New England currently projects to start the season with a relatively strong corner rotation, so he might have a harder time cracking the final roster with the Pats than he would with a different team.

Titans' Tre Avery: Full go for Wednesday
Avery (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
The Rutgers product missed the Titans' Week 9 win over the Patriots due to a hamstring injury, however, Wednesday's full practice suggests he's already past the issue. Avery is expected to serve as one of Tennessee's top rotational cornerbacks in Week 10's matchup against the Chargers now that he's returned to full health.

Titans' Tre Avery: Inactive Week 9
Avery (hamstring) will not play in Sunday's matchup with the Patriots, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Avery is listed as inactive due to a hamstring injury. With L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) also out, the Titans figure to be thin at cornerback. As a result, Darrell Baker, Justin Hardee and Gabe Jeudy-Lally are candidates for increased snaps in the secondary.
