Cowboys' Markquese Bell: Arrested for drug charges
Bell (concussion) was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and marijuana Friday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Bell could be facing disciplinary charges from the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy, though more details of the arrest have yet to be released. He is entering the second season of a three-year, $12 million contract that he signed with Dallas in March of 2025. Bell appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Cowboys in 2025, splitting his time evenly between defense and special teams. He finished with 41 tackles (20 solo), three pass defenses (one interception) and one forced fumble.

Cowboys' Markquese Bell: Enters concussion protocol
Bell has entered the league's concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Giants, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Bell went to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday's game and was diagnosed with a concussion after an evaluation by medical staff. With Bell done for the day and Alijah Clark (personal reasons) inactive, the Cowboys will have no safeties behind Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker the rest of the way. Cornerbacks C.J. Goodwin, Corey Ballentine and Trikweze Bridges could see some snaps at safety as a result of Bell's injury.

Cowboys' Markquese Bell: Not on injury report
Bell is not listed on the Cowboys' Week 11 injury report, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Bell left the Cowboys' Week 9 matchup with the Cardinals due to cramps and was unable to return to the contest. Armed with an abundance of rest from the bye week, the strong safety logged a full practice and appears ready for Monday's primetime showdown with the Raiders.

Cowboys' Markquese Bell: Sticking around Dallas
Bell (shoulder) and the Cowboys agreed on a three-year, $12 million contract Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Bell finished the 2024 campaign on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, compiling six total tackles (five solo) over nine regular-season games before being shut down. The safety operated mostly as a special-teams option last season, and he'll look to carve out a more significant role on defense in 2025.

Cowboys' Markquese Bell: Shifts to IR
Bell (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
This was an expected transaction after the rotational safety suffered a gruesome dislocated shoulder back in Week 11. Bell is widely regarded as one of the better special teams aces in the league, so his absence will be missed.
