Fantasy News

  • Gregory Junior: Stint with Denver over

The Broncos waived Junior (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Denver waived Junior with an injury designation after he suffered a hamstring injury during a training camp practice a little more than a week ago, and he subsequently reverted to injured reserve. This time, he's in line to become a free agent if he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

  • Broncos' Gregory Junior: Reverts to IR

Junior (hamstring) reverted to injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log. Junior signed with the Broncos on Aug. 10, but he suffered a hamstring injury during practice just a few days later and was subsequently waived with an injury designation. No team claimed him off waivers, so Junior was placed on IR. He'll consequently miss the entire 2025 season unless he's able to work out an injury settlement with Denver.

  • Gregory Junior: Cut by Broncos

Denver waived Junior (hamstring) with an injury designation Friday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Junior sustained a hamstring injury during Thursday's practice, meaning if he goes unclaimed on waivers he'll revert to season-ending IR. If that occurs, Junior will need to reach an injury settlement with the Broncos in order to be released and potentially sign elsewhere and play in 2025.

  • Broncos' Gregory Junior: Nursing hamstring injury

Junior suffered a hamstring injury during Thursday's training camp practice, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports. The 2022 sixth-rounder will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but he's in danger of missing Saturday's preseason game against the Cardinals. Junior signed with the Broncos on Sunday after being waived by the Packers one week prior, and he's aiming to earn a spot on Denver's 53-man roster in a depth role in a secondary.

  • Gregory Junior: Visits Kansas City

Junior had a tryout with the Chiefs on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Junior's 2023 season came to a premature end last training camp due to an undisclosed injury that landed him on the Jaguars' injured reserve. His workout in Kansas City indicates his health is back up to par, but it remains to be seen if he will ultimately get a chance to latch on with the Chiefs.

  • Jaguars' Gregory Junior: Activated off IR

The Jaguars activated Junior (hamstring) off injured reserve Saturday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. Junior was nearing the end of his 21-day window to be activated after being designated to return from IR on Oct. 23. While he has been activated, it remains to be seen if he will see the field in Sunday's matchup with the 49ers. With Tyson Campbell (hamstring) considered questionable, Junior could potentially see a relatively heavy workload right away.

  • Jaguars' Gregory Junior: Won't return from IR on Sunday

Junior (hamstring) is listed as out for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh. Junior was designated to return from Jacksonville's injured reserve list Monday, but he'll have to wait at least one more week to make a comeback. • Jaguars' Gregory Junior: Ruled out for Week 2

Junior (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports. Junior was forced out of the Week 1 win over the Colts due to a hamstring injury, and he'll now need to stay on the sideline Week 2. As long as Junior remains sidelined, Montaric Brown and Christian Braswell should get a chance to handle expanded reserve duties.

  • Jaguars' Gregory Junior: Signed to active roster

The Jaguars signed Junior off the team's practice squad Monday. Junior was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by Jacksonville, but he has spent the entirety of the season on the practice squad after being waived as part of the team's final roster cuts in late August. In a corresponding move Monday, the Jaguars also released safety Tyree Gillespie, who did not record a statistic while exclusively playing on special teams over three appearances this season. Expect junior to add depth to this secondary over the final three weeks of the regular season.
