Steelers' Carlins Platel: Headed to IR
Platel (lower body) reverted to the Steelers' injured reserve Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Platel was waived/injured by the Steelers on Monday after he suffered an apparent lower body injury during the waning moments of the team's preseason finale Sunday. Now that he has gone unclaimed, the 23-year-old will have to wait until at least the 2023 campaign to make his NFL debut, barring an injury settlement this season.

The Steelers waived Platel (lower body) with an injury designation Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Platel was spotted on crutches following Sunday's preseason finale against the Lions, but the extent of the injury remains unclear. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to Pittsburgh's injured reserve list, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his 2022 campaign.
