    The Lions waived Rucker (ankle) with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Rucker will once again be subject to waivers before becoming a free agent. If the cornerback goes unclaimed, he will likely focus on returning to football condition before attempting to sign with another franchise.

  • Lions' De'Shawn Rucker: Reverts to IR

    Rucker (ankle) reverted to injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log. Rucker hurt his ankle during practice Thursday and was waived/injured Friday. He cleared waivers and has thus been placed on IR. Rucker will consequently miss the entire 2026 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Detroit.
