Rucker will once again be subject to waivers before becoming a free agent. If the cornerback goes unclaimed, he will likely focus on returning to football condition before attempting to sign with another franchise.

Rucker left the Lions' training camp practice with an ankle injury Thursday, Richard Silva of The Detroit News reports.
It's not clear yet how serious Rucker's injury is or when he'll be able to return to the practice field. In the meantime, Khalil Dorsey and fellow rookie undrafted free agent Aamaris Brown could get more chances to make an impression during camp.
