Panthers' Trevin Wallace: Involved in Hall of Fame Game
Wallace (shoulder) recorded three tackles during Thursday's 33-30 preseason win at Arizona.
Wallace underwent surgery to address a shoulder issue after an injury ended his year early in 2025, but he was able to suit up for the unofficial start of the preseason. He is a candidate for a starting role at linebacker in 2026, but he'll need to find a way to stay healthy to put himself on the IDP radar.

Panthers' Trevin Wallace: Still nursing shoulder issue
Wallace underwent shoulder surgery following the 2025 season and is not yet cleared for contact, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
The 23-year-old linebacker from Kentucky had season-ending shoulder surgery following the Panthers' Week 15 loss to the Saints, and it now appears he had a second procedure during the offseason. Wallace was one of Carolina's leading tacklers last season, tallying 61 stops, including 2.0 sacks, and four passes defensed across just 12 regular-season games. Once fully healthy, he's expected to start alongside Devin Lloyd as the Panthers' top inside linebacker duo.

Panthers' Trevin Wallace: Shifts to IR
Wallace (shoulder) was placed on the injured reserve list Saturday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Wallace underwent season-ending shoulder surgery earlier in the week, so it's no surprise that he's been placed on IR. The second-year pro from Kentucky was one of Carolina's most impactful defenders this season, recording 61 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and four passes defensed over 12 appearances. With Wallace sidelined for the remainder of the Panthers' 2025 campaign, expect Claudin Cherelus to start alongside Christian Rozeboom in the team's inside linebacker corps.

Wallace (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Seattle.

Claudin Cherelus will likely start at inside linebacker for a second straight game in Wallace's absence.

Panthers' Trevin Wallace: Downgrades to limited practice
Wallace (shoulder) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Wallace practiced in full Wednesday and played 100 percent of defensive snaps during Carolina's loss to the Saints in Week 15, recording three assisted tackles. If the starting inside linebacker is unable to resume handling full practice reps Friday, he'll be at risk of being assigned an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
