  • Steelers' Malik Harrison: Lands on IR

Harrison (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

Head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Tuesday that Harrison wouldn't be available for Pittsburgh's Week 2 contest against the Seahawks, but following his placement on the injured reserve list, he'll be forced to miss the team's next four games. The Ohio State product played 20 total snaps (four defensive and 16 on special teams) and recorded two total tackles before sustaining a knee injury in the Steelers' Week 1 win over the Jets. Carson Bruener could see increased snaps as a rotational inside linebacker while Harrison remains sidelined.

  • Steelers' Malik Harrison: Won't play vs. Seattle

Head coach Mike Tomlin announced Tuesday that Harrison (knee) will not play in the Steelers' Week 2 contest against the Seahawks on Sunday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

Harrison suffered a knee injury during the Steelers' Week 1 win over the Jets. The injury is severe enough for the 2020 third-rounder to miss at least one week, and he'll work on recovering enough to be available for Week 3 against the Patriots on Sunday, Sept. 21. Carson Bruener could see some rotational snaps at inside linebacker for as long as Harrison is sidelined.

  • Steelers' Malik Harrison: Suffers knee injury, won't return

Harrison has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jets due to a knee injury, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Harrison appeared to injure his knee during Justin Field's one-yard rushing touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Cole Holcomb and Carson Bruener could see a slight uptick in defensive snaps for the rest of Sunday's game due to Harrison's injury.

  • Steelers' Malik Harrison: Joining former rival

Harrison is slated to sign a two-year, $10-million deal with the Steelers when free agency officially opens Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The 2020 third-round pick of the Ravens is staying in the AFC North after playing his first five seasons in Baltimore. Last year, Harrison served in a rotational role before earning the starting job in Week 11 and recording 36 tackles (15 solo) over the Ravens' final seven regular-season games. The inside linebacker ended the season with a career high 54 tackles (22 solo), including 2.0 sacks.
