Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Returning to practice
Chrisman returned to practice Monday after he spent a week in the hospital with an undisclosed injury, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Chrisman was released from the hospital Friday and he and the team have chosen not to comment on what his medical emergency was. Now cleared to practice and presumably recovered, Chrisman is competing with rookie Brad Robbins for the team's punter duties for the 2023 season.

Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Out of hospital
Chrisman (undisclosed), who suffered a medical emergency Wednesday, has been released from the hospital and will undergo daily tests, Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network reports.
Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Wednesday that Chrisman had a "medical situation" that caused him to miss Wednesday's practice and that he didn't want to disclose anything without more information. Chrisman is competing with Brad Robbins, who the Bengals selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, for the top punter spot.

Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Signs to 53-man roster
The Bengals signed Chrisman off their practice squad Tuesday.
Since Cincinnati had already elevated Chrisman to their active roster the maximum of three times, all of which came the last three weeks, the 25-year-old's only chance to continue suiting up for the Bengals this season was for the team to sign him. In a corresponding move, Cincinnati waived their original starting punter Kevin Huber on Monday. Chrisman is now slated to handle punting duties for the rest of the 2022-23 campaign.

Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Activated from NFI list
Chrisman (hand) was activated from the non-football injury list Sunday.
Chrisman will rejoin his teammates in practice this week ahead of the preseason finale against Miami. Kevin Huber remains atop the Bengals' depth chart at punter, however, and Chrisman doesn't have much time left to catch up to Huber.

Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Sidelined a few weeks
Chrisman (hand) is expected to miss a few weeks of practice due to an injury, James Rapien of SI.com reports.
The Bengals have placed Chrisman on the active/NFI list, and the team can activate him at any time during training camp once he's healthy. In the meantime, Kevin Huber will operate as Cincinnati's only punter during practices.
