Top Quincy Roche News

  • Quincy Roche: Waived with injury settlement

Baltimore waived Roche (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Roche's unspecified injury forced him to miss Friday's preseason contest against the Eagles. Once he's fully healthy, the 2021 sixth-rounder will look to catch on with a team in need of depth at linebacker. Roche last saw NFL action in 2022 with the Giants, when he registered two tackles across three regular-season outings.

  • Ravens' Quincy Roche: Misses practice Sunday

Roche did not participate in Sunday's practice due to an undisclosed injury, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Roche caught on with the Ravens in late July after not being rostered on a team in 2023. The 2021 sixth-round pick did not play in Friday's 16-13 preseason loss to the Eagles, perhaps due to his unspecified injury. Roche is competing for a depth spot at outside linebacker, and missing time due to injury will hurt his already slim chances of making the Ravens' 53-man roster.

  • Ravens' Quincy Roche: Signs up with Baltimore

The Ravens signed Roche to a contract Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Roche was let go by the Steelers just ahead of the 2023 regular season and went unsigned before joining up now with the division-rival Ravens. The 2021 sixth-round pick logged 40 tackles and 2.5 sacks over 17 appearances with the Gaints in 2022 and 2023. Roche will compete for a valuable depth role with Baltimore, as the team placed fellow oustide lineabcker Malik Hamm on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury Tuesday.

  • Steelers' Quincy Roche: Inks new deal with Steelers

The Steelers signed Roche to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Roche, a 2021 sixth-round pick by Pittsburgh, spent most of this past campaign on the Giants' practice squad after amassing 38 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble for New York as a rookie. The 24-year-old linebacker is now in line to return back to the organization that drafted him, where he'll once again compete for a roster spot throughout the offseason and into training camp.

  • Giants' Quincy Roche: Promoted to active roster

The Giants elevated Roche to their active roster for Sunday's Week 1 game against Tennessee, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Roche was waived by the Giants at the end of August before being signed to their practice squad. He'll now get a chance to see some action Sunday with both Kayvon Thibodeaux (knee) and Azeez Ojulari (calf) unlikely to play. Roche got significant run as a rookie last season, playing in 14 games and totaling 38 tackles (23 solo), 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
