Vasher was waived by the Cowboys on Sunday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Vasher missed the 2021 campaign due to a meniscus injury but showed some glimpses of production during offseason activities in 2022. He secured two of three targets for 20 yards during the preseason, and it's possible that he lands a role on a practice squad this year.

Vasher (knee) participated in OTAs and minicamp, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Vasher joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech last year, but he missed the season due to a meniscus injury suffered in college. Vasher was able to shine during practice, something he'll work to continue to do in training camp as he tries to earn a spot on the Cowboys' 2022 roster.

Vasher (knee) will remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season after his practice period was missed, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
The wide receiver was designated to return from IR Dec. 22 but failed to come back before the 21-day practice period expired. Vasher will remain on IR for the rest of the season, shifting his focus toward the 2022 campaign.
