The Steelers waived Harper (undisclosed) from injured reserve with a settlement Wednesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

Steelers' Devin Harper: Now going to IR
Harper (undisclosed) reverted to Pittsburgh's injured reserve list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Since Harper wasn't claimed by another team after the Steelers waived him with an injury designation Monday, he'll now go to their injured reserve list. He'll have to stay there until the end of the 2025 season unless he works out an injury settlement with Pittsburgh.

Devin Harper: Let go with injury designation
The Steelers waived Harper (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
The nature and severity of Harper's injury isn't clear, but he would revert to the Steelers' injured reserve if he went unclaimed off waivers, which would force him to miss the entire 2025 season unless an injury settlement is reached. Harper last saw NFL regular-season action in 2023 and appeared in nine games between the Bengals (six) and Cowboys (three), posting five tackles (four solo) while mostly serving on special teams.

Bengals' Devin Harper: Full practice Wednesday
Harper (hamstring) was a full participant at the Bengals' practice Wednesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Harper missed the team's Week 6 victory over the Seahawks while nursing a hamstring issue, but he now appears healthy heading into Week 8. The 25-year-old will return to his reserve role at strongside linebacker Sunday versus San Francisco.

Bengals' Devin Harper: Not playing Sunday
Harper (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Seahawks.

Bengals' Devin Harper: Coming to Cincinnati
Harper was claimed by the Bengals on Friday.
The second-year linebacker out of Oklahoma State was waived by Dallas on Thursday and Cincinnati wasted no time picking him up. Harper has recorded three total tackles throughout his three games this season and he'll most likely play primarily on special teams for the Bengals.

Cowboys' Devin Harper: Could see more snaps
Harper is expected to see more defensive snaps this season with 2023 third-round pick DeMarvion Overshown (knee) now out for the season, Nick Eatman of the Cowboys' website reports.
Overshown suffered an ACL tear in Saturday's preseason game against the Seahawks, taking a big piece out of Dallas' linebacking corps. Leighton Vander Esch and Damone Clark are expected to be the Cowboys' primary starters in the middle of the defense, but Harper and Jabril Cox will now pick up the slack from Overshown's loss. Harper, a sixth-round pick out of Oklahoma State in 2022, played only three games as a rookie due to an Achilles injury and was limited exclusively to special-teams duty, and he's likely behind Cox in the pecking order for defensive snaps.

Cowboys' Devin Harper: Participating in practice
Harper, who was placed on injured reserve last October with an Achilles injury, participated in training camp practice Thursday, K.D. Drummond of Cowboys Wire reports.
Harper operated exclusively on special teams last year but played in just three games before landing on injured reserve while dealing with an Achilles injury. Now that he's healthy, Harper will look to resume that special teams role while competing for a depth spot at linebacker.

Cowboys' Devin Harper: Return window opens
The Cowboys designated Harper (Achilles) to return from injured reserve Thursday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Harper, who's been on injured reserve with an Achilles injury since Oct. 29, can now resume practicing ahead of Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the 49ers. The rookie linebacker will have 21 days for a potential activation to Dallas' active roster, though he'd likely operate in a strict special-teams role off the bat.

Cowboys' Devin Harper: Lands on IR
Dallas placed Harper (Achilles) on injured reserve Saturday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Harper hasn't appeared in a game since Week 3 while dealing with an Achilles issue and will miss at least four additional games after being placed on IR. The rookie sixth-round pick was playing exclusively on special teams before the injury, so his absence hasn't impacted Dallas' defense.
