Colts' Michael Pittman: Two grabs in preseason debut
Pittman secured two of three targets for 31 yards in the Colts' 23-19 preseason loss to the Packers on Saturday afternoon.
The veteran receiver showed off some solid chemistry with Daniel Jones in their first taste of game action together, recording nine- and 22-yard gains on two of the first three plays of Indianapolis' second possession. Pittman is coming off a somewhat disappointing 2024 in which he finished with a 69-808-3 receiving line after posting a career-high 109 catches and 1,152 receiving yards the season prior, but he's projected to once again serve as the Colts' unquestioned No. 1 wideout.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Not on track to play Thursday
Pittman is not in line to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Ravens, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
After missing time with a groin injury, Pittman returned to practice Tuesday, but per Holder, the wideout is among a number of the Colts' key players who won't see action Thursday. Pittman's next chance to see game action will arrive Saturday, Aug. 16 against Green Bay.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Back at practice
Pittman (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, Jake Arthur of Locked On Colts reports.
He's making his return exactly a week after suffering what was apparently a minor groin injury. Pittman may not play in Thursday's preseason game against Baltimore, but he's on track for Week 1. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones are still competing for the starting QB job.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Sidelined by groin again
Pittman (groin) didn't practice Sunday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Pittman first hurt his groin in practice Tuesday, though he was able to resume participation Thursday. However, the star wideout was held out again Saturday and Sunday, so it appears he's not fully past the injury yet. The Colts likely want to make sure Pittman is fully in the clear before he resumes practice given that the team is still in the early stages of training camp.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Not practicing Saturday
Pittman (undisclosed) will not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Pittman's absence is likely a maintenance day, with the sixth-year wideout recovering from a groin injury that he suffered during Tuesday's practice. With Pittman sidelined, Adonai Mitchell will have the opportunity to join Alec Pierce and Josh Downs in three-wideout sets with the first-team offense. Ashton Dulin and Anthony Gould could also see an uptick in practice reps.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Moves past injury
Pittman (groin) participated in Thursday night's practice, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Pittman sustained a groin injury during Tuesday's session, but after an off day Wednesday, he was back on the field Thursday logging reps with the first-team offense. While Pittman's standing as a key member of a wideout corps that also returns Alec Pierce and Josh Downs remains secure, who will be throwing to that trio in Week 1 has yet to be determined, with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones in the midst of what is being described as a close competition for the assignment.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Back at practice
Pittman (groin) participated at the start of Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Pittman suffered a groin injury at Tuesday's session, but after the Colts had an off day Wednesday, he was back on the field in at least some capacity one day later. He's developed into the Colts' top pass-catching option since being selected in the second round of the 2020 Draft, recording two 1,000-yard seasons and catching at least 88 passes three times in his five-year career.

Colts' Michael Pittman: Sustains groin injury Tuesday
Pittman sustained a groin injury during Tuesday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
For now, consider Pittman day-to-day as the Colts' Aug. 7 preseason opener against the Ravens approaches. When available, Pittman is on track to maintain a steady stream of passing targets in a Colts WR corps that also features Alec Pierce and Josh Downs.
