Despite suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Saints Week 9 loss to the Rams, Stoll logged three consecutive limited practice sessions and has a chance to play Sunday. If he's active for the Week 10 divisional matchup, he'll likely play a depth role on offense while also contributing on special teams.

Stoll has now recorded consecutive limited practices after leaving Sunday's game against the Rams due to a high-ankle sprain. Coach Kellen Moore said Monday that Stoll is unlikely to play this week, per Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com, so it's somewhat surprising that the tight end has been able to practice (even in a limited capacity) two days in a row. When the Saints release their final injury report of the week Friday, it will become clear whether Stoll has a chance to suit up against Carolina on Sunday.

Stoll was carted to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game and is considered week-to-week due to a high-ankle sprain. He's unlikely to be available for this Sunday's game against the Panthers, but with the Saints on a bye Week 11, he may have enough time to recover and return in Week 12 against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 23. Zaire Mitchell-Paden and Foster Moreau should see more snaps at tight end behind Juwan Johnson for as long as Stoll is sidelined.

Stoll caught two of three targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-13 loss to the Seahawks.
Stoll's two catches were his first of the season, while his trip to the end zone was his first score of his NFL career. The veteran tight end played just 32 percent of the Saints' offensive snaps, while starter Juwan Johnson had a 90 percent snap share. The Saints signed Stoll from the practice squad to the active roster Tuesday.
Stoll failed to make the Saints' initial 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He elected to stay in New Orleans on the practice squad and was elevated for Week 1 against the Cardinals, when he logged 27 snaps (18 on offense, nine on special teams) but did not record a stat otherwise. With Taysom Hill (knee) and Foster Moreau (knee) both on IR, Stoll and Moliki Matavao will serve as the Saints' backup tight ends behind Juwan Johnson for the early portion of the 2025 regular season.
