  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: One grab in Week 5

Trautman reeled in his lone target for 11 yards in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Eagles. Trautman had another quiet day Sunday despite playing the most snaps of all Denver tight ends against the Eagles. The veteran played 31 of the Broncos' 74 offensive snaps, slightly ahead of both Evan Engram (30) and Nate Adkins (27). It was Engram, however, that took a step forward in the offense, securing four of six targets for 33 yards and a touchdown. Mainly a blocking specialist, Trautman offers little in the way of fantasy-relevant production on a weekly basis. The 28-year-old should be ignored for fantasy purposes when the Broncos face the Jets in London in Week 6.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Records two catches in win

Trautman caught two of three targets for 32 yards in Monday's 28-3 win over the Bengals. Trautman had another quiet day in Week 4; however, his 32 receiving yards accounted for his highest total of the season thus far. The veteran tight end played 42 of the Broncos' 81 offensive snaps, ahead of both Evan Engram (35) and Nate Adkins (34). Even so, Engram was predictably a much larger part of Denver's offensive plans, earning seven targets in the contest. Based on his lack of consistent usage in the passing game, Trautman remains far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Eagles.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Not involved in Week 3

Trautman failed to record a single target in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Chargers. Trautman was a nonfactor against the Chargers despite teammate Evan Engram (back) being ruled out for the contest. The veteran tight end played just 19 of the Broncos' 52 offensive snaps, second among Denver tight ends behind Lucas Krull (22). Even with Engram sidelined, Trautman remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes based on his limited usage in the passing game. Fantasy managers should not rely on the 28-year-old in a Week 4 matchup against the Bengals, even if Engram misses more time.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Hits pay dirt against Colts

Trautman caught all three of his targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-28 loss to the Colts. Trautman found the end zone for the first time this season while playing 62 percent of Denver's offensive snaps, the most of any Broncos tight end. The veteran's saw three targets from quarterback Bo Nix, while Evan Engram was targeted twice. It's possible Engram was being eased back into action following a calf injury he sustained in Week 1, but Trautman has now seen the most playing time of the entire position group in the first two games of the season. It's conceivable Trautman continues to lead in snap share at the position based on his blocking abilities, but he doesn't see enough work in the passing game to be consistently relevant for fantasy purposes. The 28-year-old will have an opportunity to build on his performance when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 3.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: One grab in preseason finale

Trautman reeled in his lone target for two yards in Saturday's 28-19 win over the Saints. Trautman had a quiet game in Denver's final preseason contest in New Orleans. The veteran played just 12 snaps and seems locked in as the team's No. 2 tight end behind Evan Engram and ahead of both Nate Adkins (ankle) and Lucas Krull. With that said, Trautman is not a major factor in the Broncos' game, finishing with just 13 receptions in 2024. With Engram serving as the top pass-catching tight end, Trautman will likely compete for snaps as a blocking specialist with Adkins and Krull in 2025.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Has quiet season

Trautman finished 2024 with 13 receptions (on 22 targets) for 188 yards and two touchdowns in 17 regular-season games. Trautman's 13 grabs this season marked a career low for the Dayton product, while his 22 targets, 188 yards and two touchdowns were his lowest totals since arriving in Denver. Despite being the Broncos' No. 1 tight end, the 27-year-old spent most of the season in a timeshare with Lucas Krull and Nate Adkins. Trautman will enter 2025 in the second year of the two-year contract he signed last March before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2026. The 6-foot-5, 253-pounder likely will continue to play a similar role in head coach Sean Payton's system next season, severely limiting his fantasy potential once again.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Scores touchdown in win

Trautman caught both of his targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 win over the Colts. Trautman's touchdown against the Colts was his second score of the season and Sunday's contest was his first multi-catch game since Week 8. It's been a quiet 2024 campaign for the veteran tight end, and his involvement in the Denver's passing attack has been minimal throughout the season. Trautman played 27 of the Broncos' 63 offensive snaps in Week 15, and his 43 percent snap share was his lowest mark in the past eight games. The 27-year-old continues to split time with Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull, limiting the potential of all three tight ends. Trautman should continue to be ignored for fantasy purposes when the Broncos visit the Chargers in Week 16.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Targeted once against Kansas City

Trautman secured his lone target for 34 yards in Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Chiefs. Trautman was targeted just once for the second straight week despite continuing to operate as Denver's No. 1 tight end. The veteran played 34 of the Broncos' 58 offensive snaps, while Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull were on the field for 21 and 12 snaps, respectively. As has been the case for the majority of the season, Trautman is not seeing enough consistent volume to be a viable fantasy option most weeks. The 27-year-old should continue to struggle to produce fantasy relevant numbers when the Broncos host the Falcons in Week 11.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Minimal involvement in loss

Trautman caught his lone target for four yards in Sunday's 41-10 loss to the Ravens. Trautman came crashing back down to Earth after an impressive Week 8 performance, as the veteran tight end was targeted just once by rookie quarterback Bo Nix against Baltimore in Week 9. The 27-year-old was an afterthought in the contest despite operating as the team's No. 1 tight end. Trautman played 44 of the Broncos' 72 offensive snaps, ahead of both Nate Adkins (27) and Lucas Krull (21). The 6-foot-5, 253-pounder remains difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Chiefs.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Huge game in win over Carolina

Trautman caught all four of his targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-14 win over the Panthers. With Greg Dulcich in Sean Payton's doghouse and Lucas Krull picking up a shoulder injury during Sunday's contest, Trautman wound up being significantly more than just a blocker for the first time all season. The fifth-year tight end made a spectacular one-handed grab for a 19-yard TD in the second quarter, his first score of the year, and he also had a 37-yard gain on the final play of the first quarter that helped set up Denver's first touchdown of the day. Krull was able to return to the game and caught both of his targets for 18 yards, but Trautman's breakout performance could put him in line for a larger role as a receiver Week 9 against the Ravens.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Not targeted in Week 6

Trautman failed to record a single target in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Chargers. Trautman was held without a target for third time this season, and the veteran tight end has failed to record more than a single target in the three other contests. The 27-year-old played just 17 of the Broncos' 55 offensive snaps in Week 6, his lowest mark of the season. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Lucas Krull played the most snaps (33) at tight end and was targeted four times. Trautman's limited usage in the passing game should keep him far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Saints.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Targeted once against Raiders

Trautman caught his lone target for 19 yards in Sunday's 34-18 win over the Raiders. With fellow tight end Greg Dulcich inactive Sunday, Trautman handled the majority of tight end snaps in the contest. The veteran's one grab was just his second reception of the season, as he continues to play a minimal role as a pass catcher in Denver's offense. Trautman's limited usage in the passing game makes him someone to ignore for fantasy purposes. The Broncos will host the Chargers in Week 6.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Catches Nix's first home pass

Trautman caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 27-2 preseason win over the Packers. Trautman caught the first pass thrown by quarterback Bo Nix on the opening drive. Due to Trautman's blocking prowess, he is the favorite to lead Denver's tight ends in playing time during the 2024 regular season, though Greg Dulcich and Lucas Krull both have higher ceilings as pass catchers. Dulcich caught both of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's win, while Krull finished with two catches for six yards on three targets.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Dealing with abdomen injury

Trautman did not participate in Denver's mandatory minicamp Wednesday due to an abdomen injury, Jon Heath of USA Today reports. Coach Sean Payton said Trautman's injury isn't too serious and won't need surgery, calling it "basically a sprain." The fifth-year pro thus appears on track for the start of training camp late July. Trautman projects to contribute as a rotational part of the Broncos' tight-end corps behind Greg Dulcich (foot/hamstring), though the latter is still working toward a return to the field.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Concludes first season in Denver

Trautman finished the 2023 season with 22 receptions on 35 targets for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Trautman operated as Denver's No. 1 tight end in 2023, likely benefitting from fellow tight end Greg Dulcich (foot) landing on injured reserve for most of the season. The veteran Trautman produced modest numbers throughout the season, though his three touchdowns were tied with wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey for the third-most scores among all Broncos pass catchers. The 26-year-old will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and it remains to be seen if Denver will make him an offer to stay with the team.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: One catch in win

Trautman caught one of two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Chargers. Trautman led all Denver tight ends with a 49 percent offensive snap share Sunday, yet he was unable to have much of an impact in the contest. The veteran has recorded just 21 catches for 183 yards and three touchdowns this season, despite his status as the Broncos' No. 1 tight end.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: One target in Week 16

Trautman failed to reel in his lone target in Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Patriots. Trautman was held catchless in a contest for the fifth time this season, despite his standing as the Broncos' No. 1 tight end. The veteran continues to play a minimal role in Denver's passing attack and less involvement than backup Lucas Krull, who totaled four catches on five targets for 28 yards and a touchdown.

  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Minimal production in win

Trautman secured both of his targets for 15 yards in Monday's 24-22 win over the Bills. Trautman continued his streak of underwhelming performances Monday, despite leading the way in snaps among Denver tight ends. Through nine games, Trautman has totaled just 13 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.
... See More ... See Less
  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Quiet in win

Trautman caught one of his two targets for five yards in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Packers. The veteran played the majority of tight end snaps Sunday, as he remains the Broncos' No. 1 option with Greg Dulcich (hamstring) back on injured reserve. Trautman caught just one pass on two targets for the second straight week, and his limited involvement in Denver's passing attack make him an unreliable option for fantasy purposes. The 26-year-old will look to get more involved when the Broncos host Kansas City in Week 8.
... See More ... See Less
  • Broncos' Adam Trautman: Held catchless in loss

Trautman failed to secure his only target in Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Commanders. Trautman was a complete non-factor Sunday, failing to record a catch after securing all five of his targets Week 1. The veteran tight end appeared to be set for a significant role with teammate Greg Dulcich (hamstring) sidelined, but Trautman was not a big part of Denver's offensive attack against Washington. With Dulcich on IR for at least three more games, Trautman should continue to see the majority of snaps at tight end. Trautman's offensive snap percentage increased from 72 percent Week 1 to 82 percent Week 2. With this trend likely sustaining, Trautman will look to have a bounce-back performance when the Broncos visit the Dolphins in Week 3.
