Eagles' Jonathan Greenard: Out for at least two more weeks
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that Greenard (pectoral) won't be back at practice "for another couple weeks, at least," Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Greenard opened training camp on the active/PUP list due to a pectoral injury that he sustained during the offseason while lifting weights. The 2020 third-rounder is not ready to return to practice and appears to have a minimal chance of suiting up in any of the Eagles' three preseason games, with the last exhibition contest taking place Friday, Aug. 28 against the Bengals. Greenard was acquired by the Eagles from the Vikings in late April and is expected to lead Philadelphia's pass-rushing group that also includes Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith, A.J. Epenesa and Arnold Ebiketie.

Eagles' Jonathan Greenard: Placed on PUP with pec strain
The Eagles placed Greenard on the active/PUP list Wednesday with a strained pectoral, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
Greenard suffered the injury lifting weights ahead of the start of training camp, but it's not expected to be a long-term issue for the Eagles' star edge rusher. Philadelphia acquired Greenard from the Vikings ahead of the 2026 Draft and signed him to a new four-year, $98 million deal. The 29-year-old recorded just 3.0 sacks across 12 regular-season games last season but posted a combined 24.5 sacks during the 2023-24 regular seasons.

Eagles' Jonathan Greenard: Dealt to Philadelphia
The Eagles have traded a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft as well as a 2027 third-round pick to Minnesota in exchange for Greenard (shoulder) and the 244th overall pick of this year's draft, Lindsey Young of the Vikings' official site reports.
Greenard also is signing a four-year extension worth up to $100 million with his new team, per NFL reporter Jordan Schultz. The veteran is coming off a lackluster 2025 campaign in which he recorded just 38 tackles (19 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across 12 regular-season appearances, but he totaled 24.5 sacks across the 2023 and 2024 seasons and will now be a prime bounceback candidate under Philadelphia defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Greenard is recovering from season-ending shoulder surgery undergone in December.

Vikings' Jonathan Greenard: Could be traded
The Vikings are open to trading Greenard (shoulder), Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Greenard could be a cap casualty for Minnesota. The 28-year-old racked up 24.5 sacks across the 2023 and 2024 seasons but had a down season in 2025, recording just 38 tackles (19 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across 12 games.
