Miller missed the Steelers' last three games while recovering from surgery to repair a broken finger. He was a full participant to open Week 11 prep, which puts the veteran wide receiver on track to play against the Bengals on Sunday. Miller was used sparsely on offense prior to his injury, logging one catch (on two targets) for nine yards across six regular-season games.

Steelers' Scotty Miller: Missing third straight game
Miller (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Miller continues to recover from a procedure to repair a broken finger and will miss a third straight game as a result. He hasn't been able to practice since the surgery, and his next opportunity to play is Week 11 against the Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The injury appears to be a new issue for Miller, as he wasn't listed on Wednesday's practice report. His participation in Friday's practice will provide more clarity on his chances of playing against the Packers on Sunday. The 2019 sixth-rounder has served in a depth role at wide receiver this season, so a Week 8 absence would open the door to a slight uptick in offensive snaps for Ben Skowronek and Ke'Shawn Williams.

The Bowling Green product downgraded from a limited practice session Thursday to a DNP on Friday, so it's no surprise that he'll be unavailable Sunday night. Miller secured his lone target for nine yards during Thursday's 33-31 loss to Cincinnati.
Miller was on the field for just eight offensive snaps Thursday after logging double-digit snaps in each of the team's last two games, but he still recorded his first reception of the season in the loss. Even though Calvin Austin (shoulder) remained sidelined for a second consecutive game Thursday, most of the Steelers' passing game flowed through DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the team's three tight ends, leaving minimal work for Miller and the rest of the team's wide receivers.

Steelers' Scotty Miller: Fails to draw target in Week 6
Miller didn't draw a target while playing 26 of the Steelers' 59 snaps on offense in Sunday's 23-9 win over the Browns.
Miller has been active for all five of Pittsburgh's games to date but has yet to record a reception and has drawn just one target. The 26 snaps he played Week 6 were a season-high total and ranked second among Steelers wideouts, but Miller was unable to capitalize on the increased time on the field. Miller secured all three of his targets for 82 yards during the Steelers' 19-10 preseason win over Carolina on Thursday.
Miller capped off an impressive preseason Thursday, as he recorded at least 38 receiving yards in each of his three appearances. In total, he secured all nine of his targets for 167 yards. Although the Steelers rested Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf throughout the preseason, it's possible that Miller's production earns him some playing time once the regular season gets underway, especially if the team doesn't acquire another receiver.

Miller secured all four of his targets for 47 yards during Saturday's 31-25 preseason win over the Jaguars.
Miller had a limited role over 13 regular-season appearances with Pittsburgh last year, securing five of nine targets for 69 yards. However, he had a strong showing during Saturday's preseason opener, tying for the team lead in targets and receptions while recording the second-highest yardage total among the team's receivers. The Steelers lost George Pickens during the offseason but acquired DK Metcalf, so Miller will likely continue to have limited upside in 2025.
